First of all, Hollywood should never be the standard bearer. Those people are paid so much for doing so little that it creates a warped sense of worth. Seriously, if you’re doing a couple of movies a year and you are going to make $10 million per movie, what’s the real difference if you make $9 million per and you get to look like the good guy. It keeps you in good standing with the masses and makes sure that people come out and see your movies in the future. You want $20 million in one year and then everybody hates you and you can’t find work, or $18 million a year for the next 10 years.

And women don’t deserve to make as much money as men in sports. Tennis has now gone to the same prize money for men and women at a couple of the majors. Even though men are more talented, and women play best 2 out of 3 sets while men play best 3 out of 5. I would love to see the men tennis players go out on strike until they are paid 5/3 rds of what women are paid. Because equality.

Yup, that’s the point Spock. It’s an illusion. None of their acting is that good. On one hand, they bring in a s~~~ ton of money to the studio so they deserve their cut. But when you look at effort and good for society, they are the most overpaid people on the planet. So why risk that gravy train. If my two options were to agree to equal pay with Emma Stone or risk being perceived as a dick and having every woman on earth turn on me, I’m giving up some of my pay.

It’s what happens when you let your pay be dictated how much you are loved by the hive. Grossly overpaid if they love you, done if you cross them.
