I think it’s up to you man. I really don’t think it’ll hurt. I never knew my biological father until I was 13. It really messed me up since I’ve seen him occasionally throughout my childhood but I never knew who he was. Some days I feel like smashing his head into the pavement for leaving me behind, but I’m carefully researching all perspectives on why he left my family and created so much chaos and confusion in my life.

I could find him one day, but I’m not ready for it, for his and my safety.

    Best of luck man.

My dad was divorced and sent packing when i was 2, he was cheating and at that time it was a social no no so he lost his job and moved away (1967).

I saw him once at 10 and 15 years old and then lost touch for over 15 years. Anyway, cutting to the chase, i contacted him when I was about 30 and we started meeting up. He was just a normal man in the end.

Interestingly, I did find that a lot of my mannerisms were very similar to his (genetic ?).

He died in 2000 of prostrate cancer so i got to see him on and off for about 5 years.

Personnaly I’m glad I made the effort. It helped me de-bunk the idea that he was anything other than a normal man, and he gave me some good advice on reading up on medical side effects – apparently he suffered from nearly all of them, which is partially true for me too. One thing for sure is I can’t see him now – you and they only get so many trips round the sun.

Living with an abusive father must suck big time, but i can say from experience that growing up without one in your life sucks too. For me meeting him as an equal was very illuminating.

If he didn’t rape you then go for it.

A MGTOW is a man who is not a woman's bitch!
