A woman needs support, she needs to not be alone. Society validates men by their being able to provide support for women, so if you are not doing so, you are judged defective.

Live with women for a few years and you will discover that while you are not lonely, you tend to wish you could be, just to think your own thoughts and have time for your bobbies, not deal with a lot of boring trivia and be held back by a weak person who fears to do most of the things you want to do in life and wants to do a lot of things that you know are meaningless (like drive to town and spend your money buying a new chair when the old one has not broken but it is apparently a horrid colour).

That lonely feeling used to bother me, ten years ago. However, each time I decided to “return to the warmth” and do the work to get back inside, a lesson presented itself. After enough of those lessons, I could no longer see the warmth as a place of refuge. I saw it as a place of deception and false promises. Once my body figured that out, it stopped physically desiring the emotional closeness with a woman. They key is that my body had to get enough pain from her, to finally figure out that it was longing for grief and torment.

Society used to judge lonely old spinsters as the defective ones. And will again when it finally runs out of other people’s money to subsidize them.
