I’m a home theater junky so I hang out at AVS forums sometimes. One of the acronyms frequently used over there when guys consider a new acquisition is WAF, ‘wife approval factor’. Approval isn’t just financial approval, but how it will fit the room.

Just had a conversation with a co-worker about this. He (we’ll call him Dave) trains a friend of his at the gym for free, who happens to be an attractive woman (we’ll call her Angie). My second girlfriend threw a bitch in the car because when I picked her up I had to go buy a LAN cord at best buy. He logic was “when you spend money on yourself I suffer because you don’t have money to spend on us”. Then I had to go buy a few comics and she got even more mad. I had to get up at 4 am on the weekends for my job while she got to stay home and sleep in lol. Men, I have witnessed on two occasions the following:

1) Back in the late 90s, three of us stopped at a Kentucky Friend Chicken after a mountain bike adventure.  The married guy had to call his wife for permission to order food with us.  The answer was “NO” so he got to watch us eat.  We still mock him to this day.

2) About 5 years ago, again out with two friends.  We decided to each get a six pack of beer.  The married one had to call his wife for permission.  Again, the answer was “NO”.  We still mock him to this day.

Interestingly, both c~~~s are feminist land whales.  I’ve always done whatever the hell I felt like doing.  I earned the money and no way a c~~~ will tell me how to spend it.  Even as a blue piller, no woman ever got near my finances.  They hated it.  Yet, I’ve zero f~~~s to give.

I Can relate…..I brought myself a Ps4 last year after swallowing a red pill. Do you know my gf had the nerve to say why did I go behind her back. It was suppose be a couple decision. I told her straight up I’m not about to continue to pay bills,take care of a child that’s not mine(I have none). I told her I have to treat myself I’m all I got what the f~~~ you getting mad for if you can spend your money on you and your child (daughter) with out<span style=”line-height: 1.5;”> talking the s~~~ with</span><span style=”line-height: 1.5;”> me…but its a problem when I spend a little bit of money on myself. I look at it this way. I earn it, its my money period. I pay for everything anyway. There is no way on Gods Green Earth, I will ever allow anyone who doesn’t earn as much, nor have equal assets or more worth, tell me how I distribute/spend my money. If that person is more financially secure and independent than I am, then the advise may be worthwhile. If I chose to buy a new toy, a dinner. give money to a hobo, or just plain burn it. That is my damn choice.

Hence no marriage, common-law, live in arrangements, and no more children.

My ex was one of those “Your money=our money, My money=My money” I did not know it until one day I bought a guitar and this c~~~ lost her mind because I had not run it through her for a OK. While she is bitching I notice she has a brand new suit over her shoulder. I guess she was under the mistaken idea I worked for her, but we a hell raiser that nite. Recently while hanging out with a blue pill friend he told me that he almost got Dragon Ball Xenovere because he really wanted it but instead of some Sonic racing game. When I asked him why he didn’t get it he said “well my girlfriend was with me and she said “I don’t play games like that, I only play racing games” when I told him he should have told her to deal since he was buying the game with his money for him he said “well I like to spend time doing other things with her besides having sex”. He tried to make him self more “alpha” since I don’t have a girlfriend so I’m not having sex, but the joke is on him since she doesn’t respect him. He then went on to tell me just how great this sonic racing all stars is and it is this super fun game I need to buy. He was trying to convince himself not me lol.

Good for you for not giving in. Last year my friend helped another friend of ours build a gaming PC and once it was finished he said “don’t tell my girlfriend how much all these parts cost”. The thing is though they don’t have any kids or even live together and they both have their own jobs. If he wants to spend over $1,000 on PC parts then he has every right too.
