Selfish With Empathy

I copied the above two paragraphs from another GTOW site.
…. I am thinking of the author of Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand, who also wrote a number of nonfiction works.
My favorite is: THE VIRTUE OF SELFISHNESS. The above two paragraphs reflect this feeling and spirit that I had, when I read Rand’s book.

By nature, we are both selfish and sharing– greedy and generous. We are egoists with empathy.

The morality of self interest or Rational Selfishness.

I always know when I am in the presence of a Galt. Most can’t stand to be within a 20 foot radius of his perceived arrogance… (especially a woman)

To be honest this is one I still struggle with. Its just my nature to want to share,to my own detriment. I am learning to over come this,or at least be more selective about it. Very true. We have been brainwashed into thinking we are selfish for wanting to control our own lives, do what we want with our spare time, spend our earned money how we want. This is not selfish, it is fair, and should be expected in any kind of normal functioning world.
