Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 85, fell in her office at the court on Wednesday evening (November 7) and suffered an injury.

In a statement provided by the court, she fell and then went home before admitting herself to the hospital in the morning.

“She went home, but after experiencing discomfort overnight, went to George Washington University Hospital early this morning,” the statement said. “Tests showed that she fractured three ribs on her left side and she was admitted for observation and treatment.”

Hip breaks usualy lead to infections that eventually cascade to take them out.

For Ruth, ribs it means its going to hurt to breathe, so her oxygen levels are going to go down, which again, will reduce body strength and allow infections to set in.
