Rocking a Wry Smile Today

A month or so ago I confronted my neighbor and asked him to please keep his radio down because the low end bass from the talk radio show he listens to goes right through the walls. It would start at about 630AM some days, and after he would get home from work it would blast until 8-9pm.

I usually don’t care about noise but there was nothing I could do to drown out the bass. The box fan I have did nothing, I could also feel the bass in the floor, that’s how loud this moron plays his talk radio. And the show is The Herd, with that f~~ Cowherd who knows nothing about sports.

So I asked him to keep it down, did it nicely, we looked each other in the eyes and he agreed. He didn’t realize it was so loud. Ok, good.

Next day, it’s blasting at 630AM.

Ok, fine. Game on. I have an amazon alexa, which I now blast while I’m at work. It’s synced to my Ipad so I can turn on/off the radio remotely. I have it on conservative talk radio and I know that Dennis Prager has a show in the afternoon. He has a pretty deep voice, so I figured I’d repay the neighbor in kind.

It’s been going on for a month now, dude still blasts his radio but it hasn’t woken me up lately.

I get an email from the apt. complex today stating that there have been noise complaints coming from my apt. and to please be considerate of others in the complex.

The dude below me is the only one I can ever hear, I’ve heard the adjacent neighbors but the sound doesn’t go through those walls as much for some reason. So I know it’s the c~~~ below me who filed the complaint.

I was wondering if me blasting my radio had any affect on the neighbor. Glad I got an email confirming that today.

I used an infant swing and a cookie sheet in a bathtub to good effect when I moved out of an apartment with two weeks left on the lease.
