Welcome back and sorry for not posting the past two weeks.

In another post I mentioned this weeks first song: Johnny Rivers“Secret Agent Man”

There’s a man who leads a life of danger
To everyone he meets he stays a stranger
With every move he makes another chance he takes
Odds are he won’t live to see tomorrow

Secret agent man, secret agent man
They’ve given you a number and taken away your name

Beware of pretty faces that you find
A pretty face can hide an evil mind
Ah, be careful what you say
    Or you’ll give yourself away
Odds are you won’t live to see tomorrow

Secret agent man, secret agent man
They’ve given you a number and taken away your name

Secret agent man, secret agent man
They’ve given you a number and taken away your name

Swingin’ on the Riviera one day
And then layin’ in the Bombay alley next day
Oh no, you let the wrong word slip
    While kissing persuasive lips
The odds are you won’t live to see tomorrow

Secret agent man, secret agent man
They’ve given you a number and taken away your name

    Secret agent man

Our second selection describes what happens to Money Branchers: Type O NegativeI Know You’re F~~~ing Someone Else

    Trust and you’ll be trusted
Says the liar to the fool
Lust and so what if you’re busted?
In love and war there ain’t no rules

    Do you believe in forever?
I don’t even believe in tomorrow
The only things that last forever
    Are memories and sorrow

Out of sight out of mind
    The motto of betrayal
The prophets preach to forgive and forget
I’m sorry, but I am unable

You went to L’amour Saturday night
Red nails and lipstick dressed two sizes two tight
    His tongue down your throat
    His hand up your skirt
    Yeah I’m a man
    But it still hurts

    Slut
    Whore
    C~~~

    I know you’re f~~~ing someone else
(He knows you’re f~~~ing someone else)

You had c~~~ on your mind
    And cum on your breath
Inserted that diaphragm before you left
    Practicing freelance gynecology
    Where there’s a womb there’s a way
    With you it’s for free

    Slut
    Whore
    C~~~

    I know you’re f~~~ing someone else
(He knows you’re f~~~ing someone else)

    Done it before
    Time after time
    Refused to learn your lesson
    Gave ’til it hurt
    Thought it was right
    Only fools make mistakes twice

    So you sit home
    Drinking alone
    Empty bottle in your hand
    Don’t even try
    To sort out the lies
It’s worse to try to understand

    You make me hate myself

    I know you’re f~~~ing someone else
(He knows you’re f~~~ing someone else)

and bringing a close to this week is: Billy JoelBig Shot

Well, you went uptown riding in your limousine
With your fine Park Avenue clothes
You had the Dom Perignon in your hand
And the spoon up your nose
And when you wake up in the morning
    With your head on fire
And your eyes too bloody to see
Go on and cry in your coffee
But don’t come bitchin’ to me

Because you had to be a big shot, didn’t you
You had to open up your mouth
You had to be a big shot, didn’t you
All your friends were so knocked out
You had to have the last word, last night
    You know what everything’s about
You and to have a white hot spotlight
You had to be a big shot last night

They were all impressed with your Halston dress
And the people that you knew at Elaine’s
And the story of your latest success
    Kept ’em so entertained
Oh, but now you just don’t remember
    All the things you said
And you’re not sure you want to know
I’ll give you one hint, honey
You sure did put on a show

Yes, yes, you had to be a big shot, didn’t you
You had to prove it to the crowd
You had to be a big shot, didn’t you
All your friends were so knocked out
You had to have the last word, last night
So much fun to be around
You had to have the front page, bold type
You had to be a big shot last night

Well, it’s no big sin to stick your two cents in
If you know when to leave it alone
But you went over the line
You couldn’t see it was time to go home
No, no, no, no, no, no, you had to be a big shot, didn’t you
You had to open up your mouth
You had to be a big shot, didn’t you
All your friends were so knocked out
You had to have the last word, last night
So much fun to be around
You had to have a white hot spotlight
You had to be a big shot last night

    Big shot
    Big shot
    Big shot
    Big shot
    Big shot
    Big shot

    “Porcelain”
Hey, you’ve got a lot of nerve to show your face around here.
Hey, you’ve got a lot of nerve to dredge up all my fears.
Well, I wish I could shake some sense into you and walk out the door.

    [To Chorus:]
But your skin is like porcelain.
Yeah, your skin is like porcelain.

Just the other day I felt I had you by a string.
Just the other day I felt we could be everything.
But now when I see you, you’re somebody else.
In somebody’s eyes and your skin…

    [To Chorus:]
But your skin is like porcelain.
Yeah, your skin is like porcelain.

    [BRIDGE:]
    I don’t know what I’m saying.
    Well, I don’t know if you’re there.
In the words you are feigning.
    Do you even care?

Well I wish I could kill you,
    savor the sight.
Get in to my car, drive into the night.
Then lie as I scream to the heavens above.
That I was the last one you ever loved.
Yes, your skin is like porcelain.

If you rescue a damsel in distress, all you will get is a distressed damsel.

Pat McCurdy – Imagine a Picture of Me and You (Only You’re Not in It)

OK he sung it kinda country but he threw in some Janes Addiction and AC/DC too.

    First stanza

    I’m a patient man
    You know I am
    But you’re pushin me
    To the limit

    Imagine a Picture
    Of me and you
    Only You’re Not in It

    You’ve been on my back
    For a trillion Years
    I can’t take
    another minute

    Imagine a Picture
    of me and you
    Only you’re not in it

    Chorus

Imagine a picture of me in a Cadillac
    Speedin out of town
Imagine a picture of our happy home
    Burnin to the ground

    It’s an endless fight
    I’m wrong, you’re right
    There’s no way I
    can win it

    Imagine a picture
    of me and you
    Only you’re not in it

Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

    “Porcelain”

Can’t say that I’ve ever heard Better than Ezra sounding this contemporary before, but then again I pulled up Moby’s “Porcelain” song first. Yikes!

Rock and Roll it certainly is not. Thanks for posting.

Pat McCurdy – Imagine a Picture of Me and You (Only You’re Not in It)

Another great song of his: Screw You Screw You

You wanna know what I’ve been doing
Since you left me with a broken heart
I get the feeling that you’re hoping
That I’m still miserable, still torn apart
You wanna know what I’ve been up to
Since you walked out and turned me upside down
Well, I won’t lie to you

    Chorus
I’ve been going out, having fun, making friends
    Screw you
Going places, running wild, meeting people
    It’s true

    Doing things I couldn’t do
All those years I spent with you
    Never thought forgetting you
    Would be so easy

You only come back when you want to make sure
    That you’re still in control
Now and then you have to let me know
That you own my heart and soul
And you don’t care what I’ve been doing
Since you’ve left me, I’ll tell you anyway
And I won’t lie to you

    Chorus

One thing you can do for me:
    Get out of my memory
I never thought that being free
    Would feel so joyful

You say this is how our relationship ends
    We can still be friends
    I don’t believe I’ve ever heard
    Such utter bulls~~~

Well, I’ve been going out, having fun, making friends
    Screw you
Going places, running wild, meeting people
    Screw you
Going out, getting drunk, having sex
    Screw you
Going out, writing checks, using your bank card
    Screw you
Going out, having fun, making friends
    Screw you

So, Kingston Trio isn’t rock, but it’s still a rockin’ song.

I keep waiting for you to start a Country & Western version of this thread JoeTech.

I might start one after the R ‘N R songs end, but won’t ever dip into hip-hop or rap.

    Great selections as always.

Thanks Subhuman. When you have time, post an introduction and let the membership know a little of your background. It helps provide context to your future thread posting in most cases, but is also the standard protocol.

Hope that you are enjoying MGTOW.

    Bob Seger has his share.

This has always been one of my favorites. It basically says I’ve been riding, you can have a spot on the backseat until you get tired of it or p~~~ me off… then the ride continues.

Picks her up without asking or offering anything, and leaves her behind just as easily. 2:16

I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.
