This is the most accurate handgun I’ve ever shot in my life. It’s like it was made for me. Never thought I’d spend so much money on a gun, but this one is worth it. You should feel the action of the slide. That thing is so tight yet smooth, the way a handgun should be. The trigger on these 1911’s is fantastic, so fine and so crisp. Can’t wait to get back out on the range and shoot it again.

There was barely a learning curve as I was quickly able to consistently hit the targets. My son bought a smaller, lighter carry pistol in the same caliber and of course you can’t compare to the two weapons as they are completely different. The very first time he shot my Springfield, he was amazed at how easily he hit the target. It took him greatly by surprise. I believe his exact words were, “I just pointed it at it and hit it!”

I do carry my Dan Wesson 1911 10 mm a lot, but my main carry is this Springfield .45 ACP. Both very fine weapons, but I like the sights on my Springfield more because there is less play when positioning the front sight in the notch of the rear sight. The notch in the rear sight on my .45 is much more narrow and therefore easier for me to be just a little more accurate. Also the grips are thicker and fill my hand better. I could change the grips and sights on my 10 to match my .45, but I feel like I should be able to pick either one up and be able to hit the target with these slight differences.

Can’t emphasize enough how smooth the slides are on both my 1911’s……smooth as the finest glass, I tell ya’.

This is blighty old chap and the rozzers will put me in jail for 5 years if I take my guns to meet you. Agreed indeed. He reminds me of a guy I used to work with who was so obviously a phag, but always denied it. When he would attempt acting straight, it was almost embarrassing as he was so bad at it.

Not in my shi*ty city. Gun crime is quite rife as is the use of a knife.
