If anyone cares how our ancient, dated Constitutional Monarchy works,, Canada agreed to be overseen (ruled) by the British Crown by use of a Governer General.
The GG job is to have (our) government business carried out, or dissolve the government as needed by the Crown.

Our GG is chosen by ‘the people’ who can vote freely to choose their Prime Minister (Turd Trudumb) and Crown will appoint GG by letting our PM select the candidate.

In the USA, The President is Commander In Cheif of armed forces,
in Canadastan it is the Governor General.

Our voting process (something Trudumb lied about fixing) is even stranger, I don’t even get it Ontario and Quebec have all the say. The US Electoral College system works better I see.

Just a couple of points about the divorce though.
1. What is considered northern Quebec reverts to Canadian control, as control over that area was given “in consideration of joining Confederation”. They leave Confederation, they lose control over that area.
2. Aboriginal tribes outside of the metropolitan areas have repeatedly warned the Quebec Provincial government each and every time separation has been broached, that they ( Aboriginal tribes) will remain in Canada and their lands will stay with them.
3. Their share of the Canadian National debt will be required to be repaid to Canada, and infrastructure such as the ports/military bases and equipment/James Bay Hydro facilities remain Canadian.
4. They will need to create their own currency, passports, trade deals, military, etc
5. Legal rights and citizenship of Canadians that were born in Quebec but never “lived” there need to be ascertained.

They (Quebec) are quite happy where they are and acting like a potential ex wife that just wont f~~~ing leave because she has it so good and has the added pleasure of making life miserable for the person who pays the bills.
