Retail Job With Almost All Females in Power

This is my first job I’ve had it for a while now, but I’ve noticed how all the managers or shift leads are women. There are three who are male, but then 7 who are female, and don’t even get me started on the women who are down at my level but who think they’re above me. The male managers are chill, they let you do your job how you want to, but the females got to dictate everything you do and are breathing down your neck. I hate it and as soon as I find a better job I’m getting out of there. The pay is rather good which is the only reason I’m staying. But I’ve talked with others about their jobs, and it seems its this way everywhere. I hope its not true.

Hate to say it but Retail/merchandising is just full of biatches. From experience women to men in the average retail store is circa 80:20 in favour of women. Sometimes more.

As some say above, trust NOBODY. Women will be out to score brownie points, men will be out to do the same. Women love backstabbing men and creating s~~~, so keep’em at arms length whilst keeping relations moderately pleasant. Just keep earning that money, enjoy your time off, maybe learn a male-oriented trade…or find a job in manufacturing, that tends to be male dominated (thank f~~~). Good luck homie…

As “Carnage” suggests, I think the next 5-10 years will see the slow spiralling death of retail outlets. Boomers are now dying off in greater numbers, and Gen X and millennial kids love buying stuff online. And that sector is only going to grow.

You’re right but as said I got no choice right now. I do want to go into a trade or something like that but my less realistic dream is to be a rockstar. I made a band with some friends all I can do now is bust my ass at work, and practice guitar. I’ll get out of it one day.
