So there I was earlier today, getting groceries and I saw two old men sitting on a bench, talking to eachother, while a couple of teen girls rode by on their bicycles, and I suddenly remembered a thought I had when I was 13 or 14 years old.

Every kid around me was raging with teen hormones, drooling over the girls in classes and doing everything to get their attention and doing the most ridiculous things to make sure the girl chose him instead of all the other guys. I was always the quiet type and the bullied one, I guess the latter helped as well with the mindset, and I thought to myself “you know, I’d much rather go to an old folk’s home and listen to the stories of old men instead of chasing girls.”

Right after that thought, I worked to dismiss it. I watched girls from a distance, still not feeling the urge to intermingle with them and jump through hoops in the small hope one would even deign me worthy enough to smile at me. Zero interest in getting a “relationship” with them (hey, you’re 13 or 14, those hardly count), quite some interest to see them naked and touch them (especially their growing breasts), but no interest in having sex.

I always found it mighty interesting to listen to the older guys at work, the personal stories of teachers whenever they felt like it was time for a good old chat instead of learning and I’ve been very interested in World War II ever since I was young and hoped there would be elders who wanted to talk about that time. It’s a shame that none of them wanted to, but later I understood nobody wants to relive horrors of the past. They did tell me about hard manual labor, when men didn’t take s~~~ from nobody and respect for men still existed.

tl;dr: old man’s stories > chasing pussy. That about concludes this topic.

My dad was in ww 2. He rarely spoke about it.
A friend of his used to come by and visit. .He’d start talking about being in the tank Corp facing Rommel..desert warfare. .I would listen intently.
The old men never took any s~~~ from anyone.
I enjoyed the post brother. .seems like yesterday I was on a bicycle trying to get a girl to notice. .at 13 14 years old. .then hanging out smoking weed with my friends. .I the 70 ‘ s seemed like everyone was smoking weed..even a few teachers ..1976 America’s bicentennial. .I was a kid and very high! !!
Really was the good old days. .

If you want some genuine true insight into life, talk to an old man. Even if they’re still married he will tell you to avoid married life. Most who have been around 70 years will tell you some nugget of truth and how they’ve managed to stay happy.

Feminism is a movement where opinions are presented as facts and emotions are presented as evidence.
