I initially thought the wall was kind of silly, in retrospect I think it was more of a pacifist reaction to people who were so opposed to it, but I’m really looking forward to it now.

It is a essentially a huge “f~~~ you” to everyone one who is here illegally and abused the system while spitting on the American people. When these f~~~s are deported and can’t come back in I imagine the welfare savings will be astronomical. And welfare will be solely for people who need it, and maybe even America can even actually start a system where citizens of a certain age could be granted a minimum yearly income if they happen to not be in the workforce. Like if you are 25 – 30 you make a minimum of 1,000 a month. A Canadian poster here they have something like that, but it maybe too ambitious for American tastes, just throwing an example of the money saved by ridding of the illegal leeches.

We have welfare here in Canada but it’s kept fairly low
(around $600/mo) so to encourage people on it to look for work.

A higher amount or raising basic minimum wage would not be a good idea IMO as it would make those receiving it less motivated to get off the program and businesses to cut back on employees.

OK. I need to call BS on this one brother.
My neighbourhood is mostly welfare recipients now.
Average rent for a 3 bedroom condo is 1400.00, a 2 bedroom is 1000.00 – 1300.00 a month not including utitlities.
Add in the amounts given for Food, utilities including phone/cell phone, entertainment (believe it or not that is part of it), child care paid by the taxpayer.
Average payout is better than what a full time employee earning more than $15.00 an hour, oh and no drug testing.
Most welfare recipients in Alberta (and this Province is the most ungenerous with welfare) will not find a job as it is financially illogical to work for less than than what welfare will give you.

There is no way they only get 600.00 a month unless you are a single white man
