The only thing I worry about is that you’ll find me where I live down here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and I’m not too worried about that either since I’ll put a bullet in you and toss your nasty carcass in the Atlantic Ocean.

Behind where i live after we get alot of heavy rain we get wild mushrooms grow . It is good now because alot of young people don’t know about them anymore . When i was young i seen a few people really f~~~in loose there minds . They can vary in strength so it can be like playing Russian roulette.

This one chick i knew when i was young stripped naked and ran into the middle of a highway . 2 years she was completely f~~~ed and never was right after that .

So some things in the bush are best left unknown .

Bracken ferns next to streams . Pull them and find a bulb that from memory is least bitter. Small lowest bulbs . Takes away insect bite faster than stingose .

We have nothing here in the UK like Aus and the US. Although, there has been many a story told here of specimens going fully rental from taking E’s, especially during the rave days. Don’t know if Oz embraced the 80’s rave culture?

I see you guys talking about drugs -I think it might be worth a try with some hallucinogenic Colin -since you are an artist and all. I think psychoactive drugs do have a place in giving the mind a once in a decade clean out and you could write some seriously different poetry -you might do something really unusual like start using short words.

Nearly on level 41, too withered to try drugs. May not come back.

Hi Colin,
I don’t chase skirts. I am not much of a natural flirt but over the years women have come to me none the less. These days however, I think I am all maxed out on women. I can’t see myself chasing another.

I am reading a novel written by a friend (it is always hard to assess anything a friend writes clear headedly I find and so the reading is going slowly) and I was really struck by how well he captured the way that a young boy looks at the first women who awaken him. The boy was a massive white knight of course but my friend managed to conjure the way a boy almost worships the first woman he gets close to -as a goddess and a wonderful unexplored country- and she makes him glorious and more capable than he ever eimagined. I thought of this and remembered things I had forgotten and then reflected -I am all maxed out on women. Wives, mistresses, lovers and daughters have stripped me of all the mystery of woman and left me with the simple conclusion -she is the female of the species and she does what females do. I have no requirement for one these days, except to raise my children and I eat more healthy food if I cook for myself. Tomorrow I will no doubt be out and about to help one or try to drag another from her depression and all the while hoping to just get the time to burn a few rounds down the range and give a fox hide I have soaking a second membraning -I think Mr Fox will make me a fine hat if I don’t spoil him. My pleasures are simple these days.

As to long words, I am mostly having fun teasing you for it. I appreciate you are having fun using them.

My personal view on long words is that I think long words are only needed when short ones won’t do the job. If a long one will honestly do the job better then it is OK so long as it doesn’t cost you too much in the way of fluidity in a sentence. If you use a long one wrongly, however it really does backfire on you. I would also extend this to archaisms too -if thou seest what I mean. If it really does add it is OK but otherwise it is clunky and gauche. Its like a man trying to fight an 18th century sword duel with a medieval broadsword -more weight than he needs will cost him dearly or like a beautiful girl weighed down by a dowager’s jewels -she makes herself uglier in her adornment because she forgets that she is the jewel not her presentation. That is not to say that I favour dumbing down at all just that one should use pithy potent language that cuts to the point not that encumbers the reader, after all it is the reader you care about not yourself when you write to be read.
