    I recently saw a quote.
“Only try to keep people in your life who try to keep you in theirs.”
    Oh, really.
What if men heed this advice? “she’s really trying to keep me in her life…” without considering why, or without translating it via KM’s “_______ _______ _______ now” AS in “She’s trying to keep me in her life….Now” [until: something better comes along, the positive pregnancy test, I find out I’ve got an STD for life from her, I pay her call girl fee, she isn’t feeling happy because I’m gone earning money for the two of us, she joins an amazing group of amazing gal pals woo hoo, I’m gone and she’s tag teaming c~~~ with our daughter, she’s in a position to get me fired at work, she’s blowing my best friend as I come in the door, she cries rape a few days later at her girlfriends’ advice, she gets me thrown out of the college, university, course I was counting on, she gets a false allegation on my permanent record, she has the key to the apartment, she has enough white knights mangina’s at her disposal, she has enough unfounded lateral support through society-society being other women, she can claim her offspring consider me dad and get years of child support………………………………….]
While I will plea guilty to researching pickup artist stuff so that I know how to handle myself WITHOUT becoming entangled, PUA stuff can be dangerous. It may be akin to, with due respect, the study of martial arts, wherein even the most studied accomplished practitioners will warn students of the pitfalls of fighting situations. the opponent may happen to be better than you on that given day. they may be at your skill level and their friend steps in and knifes you. or you may “win”.
Being aware of what’s at stake is crucial. Not “living in fear” but living aware.
As for me the book of Proverbs of King Solomon has never led me wrong.

"It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."
