I have been lurking for a while, immersing myself in this site and and a few others about the manosphere.

Becoming enlightened.

My situation makes me feel lucky in some ways, it could have been a lot worse compared to some of the guys on here.

So I was in a relationship for 12 years, married for 8 of them, she already had 2 young children (boy 3, girl 7) that I got along with and helped her with.

Their father did maintain contact with them, but paid very little in child support.

Thought I had found my unicorn for the first 6 years, we went through some tough times and good times, then things changed.

I can see now that’s when I started to slip into permanent beta mode, trying anything to keep her happy!

I had my own reasonably successful business the whole time, and I had a plan to sell it, pay off our investment debts and home, and live a less stressful life.

In December last year, a buyer was found for the business. The very next day I got the ‘I’m not happy’ talk! Great timing from her. Felt a bit used up till I wasn’t needed anymore. Kids have finished school and/or moved out.

Then 6 months of living together while separated, getting financial consent orders (I live in Australia) for separation, lengthy sale process for the business, asset transfers and so on.

It was 60:40 split and she had brought some $ into our relationship from her first divorce.

Anyway, it was my first marriage, I have no children and I am in mid 40’s.

I think I am done with relationships and marriage though. Don’t feel a need to have kids now.

I felt like I had a plan and purpose before, and spent a lot of time working to provide a decent life for princess and the kids. I don’t regret that at all, but working on a new plan now.

From this and previous relations~~~s, and reading all the science from this site, Rollo, Roosh, Black Label etc, it’s real clear now what hypergamy, BPD, s~~~ tests and AWALT is.

Had enough, nothing is ever good enough, get your interests scorned or ridiculed, not worth it.

I don’t hate women, but don’t want to be playing the game anymore.
Pay em, pump em, then they leave is my motto at the moment.

Its the first time I have really been single for many years, as I used to replace girlfriends fairly quickly, but I am actually liking it and reconnecting with some old friends.

o2tosin – I am fully detached now and I hope a hairy magnet never pulls me back in!

I think I was partially detached at various times throughout my life and it has caused me problems with ex partners.

They don’t like it one bit when you try to put yourself first sometimes.

Its conditioning and you just get worn down and guilted.

Our Great Enemy has set up a brutal system that is destroying the Middle Class.

I have been reading the heart wrenching story of Thomas Ball in the “Men’s and Father’s Rights” section of the Forums.

Thanks, I read those links. Heavy going about Thomas. Really sad.

The Family Court system in Australia is all about adversarial and supposedly what is good for the children.

I don’t have personal direct affects from that, but I have seen a number of friends, colleagues and relatives chewed up and spat out.

The woman can f~~~ around as much as she wants with custody orders and nothing is ever done.

They haven’t got to the stage of throwing non-payers in jail, or DV accused not being able to stay at their house yet.

I don’t intend having children or remarrying, so I will avoid all that.

Other stuff I have been doing – renovating my house the way I want it, working on my long neglected muscle car and working to regain all the capital I lost in the split!

Dusted off the kayak and been doing some paddling as I live near a river.

Got a dog too.
