Reality hitting my friend

I received a call from a friend of mine up north today. He was a mentor to me. Always there to help. Always had my back. I could sense something wasn’t right several months ago when I moved, but stayed out of it.

He had his s~~~ together. Paid off house, paid off vehicles and boat. In line to inherit millions. No joke, SEVERAL million. He’s a super hard worker. He married a woman about 15 years ago. Things were great for him. Then his father got alzheimer’s.

His father had remarried about 20 years ago. Well, unknown to my friend his stepmother got an attorney, deemed his father incompetent and got full financial control. Filed for divorce and cleaned him out. The judge at least made her pay for all medical care and in home care for him.

Furthermore, she cut my friend entirely out of the will. My friends wife went APE S~~~! She pulled a loan on their house and hired an attorney to fight for the inheritance. She lost badly! Now she wants a divorce.

My friend has found himself alone and broke. Deeply in debt, father in peril and future crushed. He just turned 60 last year.

Two gold diggers destroying men at the same time! Take notice lurkers! Neither knew this was coming! 20 years and 15 years! They played the long game. F~~~ MARRIAGE!

I told him my house is being remodeled but he’s welcome to move in. Sounds like I may have a roommate.

Sounds like his wifey was in for the long-con, and when it evaporated she pulled the ripcord, brutal, but par for the course really when it comes to marriage. She would have been better off apparently marrying your buddies father, I am sure in hindsight she now can see her mistake.
