“You got two sides, neither has a proven degree of certainty, but both of them wants to act as if they have so they can use their degree of certainty to abuse the other.”

Each to his own as they say.
In scientific circles, a THEORY is a large body of information that has withstood a lot of testing that consisted of many different hypothesis and many different lines of evidence.
On the other hand, some say that a theory is a discussion about meaning of life or why are we here. It is something a group of people discusses around a table with dinner and vine and lets not confuse the difference between those two. One is based on fact and tested, the other most like not.

I tend to lean towards proven theories even if they are still new and have a long way to go, such as quantum/theory/mechanics/physics simply because they are being worked on and tested and based on facts known to us as far as we can understand them.

I believe the drive for autonomy (I use the label MOW, which is short for “My Own Way”, for this), which is in those two is also a key part of MGTOW. I personally see there is overlap. I also believe the MOW part of MGTOW as is why some will end up dropping MGTOW don’t marry from MGTOW, and say they are married but MGTOW, because they are going their own way.
