I never knew rabbit ears in photos dates back to at least the 1600’s. This painting below shows a man with rabbit ears over the baby and is taken as “the cuck’s horns”. He’s the real father of the baby.

Look how he has all the keys to the house on his belt yet his young wife (considerably younger than him) is looking at Chad as he slips out the door with a smirk on his face making a subtle cuck sign as he waves. All those keys and he couldn’t lock her chastity up even though he paid for it with marriage and a fine house full of servants for her. Even now hundreds of years later one feels very, very sorry for him.

Having looked it up I see that Chad is a self portrait of the artist himself. Women always did go for arty types just because they love themselves so much women assume they must be high value.

No prizes for guessing the story behind that painting then.

If I had been Cuck, his patron who brought him into my house to paint and he had rewarded me like that I would have shot or stabbed him in the back in a dark alley or better have sent a servant to do it for me.

I was on my phone while getting some medical tests done.
And came across a science news article about genetic testing looking into the rates of children from infidelity back to the Middle Ages.

And in the middle of the article it references that painting and talks briefly about the Rabbit Ear hand sign.

Yes, those were better times when you could at least demand satisfaction. Though, I personally would not have given him the honour. He did not court the cuck’s wife to his face, so why should he be shot in the front with a chance to shoot back? Have a servant kill Chad, bury him in secret and then tell your wife Chad went home to a wife he never told her about because he knew she missed him.

Always felt sorry for Barry Lyndon by the end of that film. He was a cad, a chad and a bounder but he had an unlucky start (out bid by Beta, tricked by his own seconds in a mock duel, robbed and forced to enlist to feed himself). We all make the best of ourselves with what we have to hand when such things happen and he is one Chad I find it easier to forgive.

It is too easy to get mad at chad the cad. Unless he raped her, the wife willingly spread her legs for him because she’s a dirty whore. I’d have the woman killed and give chad his child and tell him it’s his problem since he had a hand in the conception.

Wasn’t that back in the times that women had to bear the scarlet letter “A” for being an adulterer? I say brand that letter into her face and put her in the stocks for a week in full public view. I think there is a lot of sense in Hermit’s point of view. That is certainly the best position in this day and age. Women are entirely free of any male control and of any forces in their lives that could drive them to genuinely need to do anything they did not want to do, so unless it is rape (and you would expect signs of a violent struggle in most genuine cases) the women are entirely to blame if the spread their legs for Chad. Always blame your woman a lot more than Chad.

This is a little different because Cuck was, we must presume, Chad’s employer. Men have always been historically expected to exhibit some sense of honour. If you shag your relative’s, your mate’s or your boss’ woman behind his back then you are in my opinion (and the opinion of almost all male history) doing a very bad thing. Add to this the fact that the women of the household are all gossiping about Cuck behind his back and really one must feel cuck has been wronged by everyone he should be able to trust. Cuck was living at a time when it was reasonable to assume that a man of his standing could secure a virgin wife who would be sufficiently grateful to him for the social position he would give her as to feel her fidelity was owed to him. Cuck may also be in an awkward position where in his culture it is practically impossible to divorce a wife and she will be able to sue for maintenance if she is expelled from the home (I believe the painter Rembrandt’s ex mistress sued him for maintenance and breach of promise when he took up with a new mistress, so one imagines the financial rape from a wife would have been even worse). Cuck may also have married for business or family reasons that make it very hard for him to punish his wife. He will also almost certainly be unable to get a legitimate heir with any other woman (thanks to the Christian church having taken over the law) until his present wife is dead. Chad has probably now given him an heir (and certainly his wife an heir because women had the power then to own property and make wills) that he cannot dispose of easily.
