R Lee Ermey Interview

R Lee “Gunny” Ermey is famous because of his hard ass character in the movie, Full Metal Jacket. I didn’t know that he was a real life Marine Corps drill instructor until years after I saw the movie. During my Army days, we would do impressions of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman and have a good laugh.

He’s a good actor and also a good marksman.

If I recall correctly he also had a cameo in Apocalypse Now as a helicopter pilot.
