Pushed past breaking point

I was in a discussion with some people about the death of Luke Batty, and I dared to suggest that Rosie Batty who received an order of Australia for her work in family violence may have carried out some actions which contributed to Greg Anderson, Luke’s farther taking the boys life in a attempted murder suicide.

I pointed out that most survivalists are aware of what they call the rule of three’s, which if you do not know it goes like this; you can survive up to three minutes without air, three hours without shelter, three days without water, three weeks without food and three months without food. Remove any of them past that time and you are dead.

I then pointed out Greg Anderson had a job and agreed to give Rosie child custody of their child. I bet he had no idea that would have resulted in a child support contribution being imposed on him from the child support agency. Some time down the track Greg lost his job and I think I would be right to assume his child support payments would have then gone into arrears. Unfortunately unemployment payment take weeks to come through so unless Greg was on top of it, he would not be aware his unemployment when he finally received, would be taken to pay his child support arrears. I imagine Greg then approach Rosie Batty for help in desperation, but she rejected him, resulting in conflict and an intervention order.

It seems Greg Anderson must have then had some Police contact in which he voiced his anger and desperation to them, because they then told Rosie Batty he was sounding dangerous and she should be careful. She them limited Greg’s contact still further with his son, and his situation was in a downward spiral with Greg living in his car and not having any means to support himself.

I expect this is the point a which Greg Anderson had no hope left, Rosie Batty had not broken the law or anything but a combination of actions and the system conspired to push Greg past breaking point. It then seems he caught up with his son he loved so much at a cricket ground, and took the only action he could see as a solution to be with his son and end his own desperate hopeless situation.

I got lots of flak from stating the above so I added a copy right to it….. but I’m sure there are men here that can identify with what Greg Anderson went through to cause him to do what he did. I totally reject Greg Anderson being called a cold blooded murderer thug that acted totally without provocation, and I reject that men that carry out family violence act totally without circumstances which contribute to their actions, and so until we are mature enough as a society to have an open and honest conversation about family violence in which we look at all the contributing factors women will go on blaming men.
If anyone reading this needs help ask and it shall be given.

If you ever hope to address a problem surely you realize you must identify all the issues…. to paint blame on a person and ignore extenuating circumstances will never get too a solution. Showing some empathy is never such a bad thing and we should not judge others should we!
