While I can’t speak to prostate cancer, when I was 37 I suffered from a 7 month bout of Prostatitis. To those who have never experienced this little “fun” predicament, trust me when I say it is sheer hell. They say you can have prostate cancer and not even know it…well you know when you have Prostatitis!…anyhoo…for reasons unknown it managed to clear up after about 7 months. It recurred again in small durations over the next 3 years or so. After continued research on the topic I found that caffeine consumption may be a culprit, so I decided to go caffeine free. Since then I haven’t had any flare ups so perhaps there is some merit to that.

Not saying there is any link with caffeine and prostate cancer…i’m no doctor…but to those perhaps suffering with other prostate issues you may want to give the caffeine free life a try and see if there are any improvements.

My mother has raised tens of thousands for prostate cancer research in the UK. Not because it’s been a family problem, but she genuinely thought that female cancers got too much money and attention. Tried to get the government to set up Well Men Clinics (we have the female version in UK), even met then PM Tony Blair and gave a speech about it to some cabinet members. It’s an ongoing fight for her. Still holds a very popular annual Charity Golf Event to support it.

One thing I remember from it was the danger of dairy products. Particularly ice-cream and very high levels of sugar. Keep that s~~~ to a minimum.

Movember raise money for prostate cancer and other men’s issues. Men’s charities are the only ones I gave too, because women’s get all the money so men’s charities need it.

    There website is here:

I plan to grow a moustache in Movember this year to raise money. Be a Mo Bro and help out, it will be fun.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is a worldwide motorcycle rally for men of refinement and discerning taste to raise funds for prostate cancer research.

If you ride, look into it. If you don’t ride, why the hell not? Get a motorcycle (or a scooter or whatever) and look into it.

I dare those breast cancer “run for the cure” people to come up with something even half as cool.
