I was just reading KMs new thread on NAWALT and saw a picture posted by Hollowmile (sp?) which shows a man bowing down to a woman. It reminded me of our traditional marriage proposal of bending on one knee. Isnt it fantastically perverse that when a man is ASKING a woman IF *he* can: love, support, provide, and cherish her for the rest of his LIFE, he does so in a groveling and worship position? Based on rational logic the WOMAN should be begging the man!

Its absolutely insane when you think of it logically, yet if I said this among the general population they would say Im nuts, or “bitter at women” lol.

Being able to say this with full acceptance in this community, but yet would be thought of as insane by the rest of society, makes me believe we are all independent thinkers, not willing to simply swallow whatever nonsense society throws at us. We are not followers.

Its that kind of dumb logic that trains men in society to be “useful idiots”. It leads young men to embrace foolish notions such as “shes out of my league”. I literally heard a young man say that about a girl, then followed by “You would have to be 6’4 JUST to *talk* to her”. How ridiculous is that?

Modern medicine allows women to more easily give birth, and allows children to have a greater chance to live to adulthood. Old traditions die hard. Traditional? What do you define as traditional? Something 50 years old vs. something 100 years old?

Everything now is modern, there is nothing traditional. Diamond rings didn’t even exist until some 40ish years ago. Large wedding ceremonies are maybe 30 years old.

Human beings have a poor grasp of history. Most assume how things are, is the way they’ve always been. The credit economy was pushed in the 70s as well. Income taxes for all was really a Reagan thing in the 80s. Large government, really any government, historically did not exist. At most you had a king in his capital, and the commoners out in rural areas barely had any contact with him.
