    He DID IT AGAIN!!!!!

This guy is unstoppable. Obama’s library is gonna be empty afterwhile. I wish Cuban Cigars weren’t considered contraband. If I was Trump, i would sign a new deal with Cuba in exchange for Assata Shakur to be brought back to the United States.

She killed a cop a long time ago and fled the country to Cuba.

I am indifferent on this. Anyone whom researches the whole Cuba mess sees a lot of bad money, bad deeds, and bad blood on both sides, going back for over a century to the Spanish-U.S. war, the later Banana Wars, to the globalist monopolies in Cuba, to the communist revolution in Cuba, to the Bay of Pigs, the Cuban Missile Crisis, to Castro dumping his prisoners into the U.S.

But, the Cuban population in the U.S. did help President Trump win Florida in the election and President Trump did promise to do this on the campaign trail, so I guess it could be considered a “win”.

When is comes to international affairs, the most interesting situation happening right now is that the Russian sanctions are causing a boomerang effect on the globalists. The Senate voted 97 to 3 on a resolution to prevent President Trump from lifting Russian sanction without approval from Congress.

This has upset the European Union: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-06-16/must-not-happen-germany-threatens-us-retaliation-over-new-russia-sanctions

I do not believe the globalists pushing for the Russian sanctions desire to further distance the European Union from the U.S., but this is a welcome development for the U.S. nationalists.

The isolation of Cuba for six decades did nothing to undermine the Castro regime. I’ve always felt our foreign policy toward Cuba was flawed. As the Godfather once said, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Diplomatic engagement is a much better strategy.

The problem is this is not about logic, but emotion. Much like progressives want to see everything President Trump and his supporters have done torn down, the Cubas in the U.S. want to see everything Castro and his communist party torn down.

The Cuba communist revolution did not happen in a vacuum. At the time Cuba was controlled by corporate globalists whom had enslaved the local population and turned the nation into a playground for rich and successful foreigners. (In someways this has not changed, only now U.S. citizens are barred from this playground.)

If President Trump was not dealing with political witch hunts he could wheel and deal control of Cuba from the communists through U.S. oil shipments. Cuba gets much of its oil shipments from Venezuela and with Venezuela collapsing, Cuba is hurting: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-06-14/cuba-scrambles-venezuelas-oil-industry-collapses

Regan couldn’t stand Russia, and through all the bolstering and threats, he still understood that he had to deal with the Russians, so he worked diplomatically at times to find solutions and work towards a mutual goal. After we outspent them in the arms race, we talked them into ending the iron curtain.

I do support Trump, but personally I feel a détente with Cuba is needed in some form. Hit them for human trafficking by all means, but its better to have the two governments co-operate to end it. A lot of mixed feelings all around due to the complexity of the situation.

What threat does Cuba pose to the US? Sure the regime may not be something we agree with but then again the Saudis are 1000x worse and we have our tongues up their ass. I’m so sick of us chasing invisible enemies it’s getting tiring.

I agree with the above. This is present as a matter of morality of the people of Cuba, but it isn’t a policy we apply to other countries under similar conditions.

I don’t think communications should stop between governments, but I am overall good with stopping trade. Really though, I would rather see high taxes/tariffs associated with doing business with other countries that do not have the same human rights/environmental laws that we do. If we established such a system that was objective, there would be no way these sanctions could be applied subjectively for political gain. It’s not personal, it’s just business.

    Ok. Then do it.

Yea we should definitely just work with them, but not in the way that Obama wanted to do. But in other news, Trump has been chipping away at that Obama legacy. Kinda fun to watch i must say
