I suspect that the reason for Tillersons sudden departure was his ravings about Russia and the UK poisoning business.
He came very, very close to saying that the US was at war with Russia. The president cannot (and frankly, dare not), tolerate that.
Tillerson had to get the chop pronto to show that he was speaking out of turn.
Former Secretary of State George Shultz (Reagan administration) used to meet with prospective ambassadors before they left for their assignments. He would ask them, “Point out on the map which country you represent.” They would usually point to the country to which they had been assigned. Shultz would then point to the United States and say, “No, THIS is the country you are suppose to represent!”

Absolutely correct gentleman, President Trump is the elected leader of the United States of America. His appointed staff were placed to assist him in implementing and supporting his policies and “Commanders Intent”. These people are not Government Officials who typically wait out the current elected officials until a “better person” is elected.
To not remember this is to place your political career in peril and quickly have your services discontinued.

I know a conman when I see one because for many years I was working in what were basically legalised boiler rooms.
Check and I am in total agreement. The real fight in the U.S. political system is between the two parties. The people elected are only temporary placeholders in specific positions whose basic job is to not damage the party. If they can strengthen the party, so much the better, but “Do No Harm” is mantra number one.
