President Trump tweeted Wednesday that the U.S. government will not allow transgender people “to serve in any capacity in the U.S. military.”

In a series of tweets, he wrote:

“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow…Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming..victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you.”

The president’s tweets came only a few weeks after Defense Secretary James Mattis said he would give military chiefs another six months to conduct a review to determine if allowing transgender individuals to enlist in the armed services will affect the “readiness or lethality” of the force. The deadline for that review was Dec. 1, 2017.

Now i just woke up to some very great news. I agree wholeheartedly that trans people should not be allowed to serve in the military. We need warriors, not social justice warriors who are confused about who they are and change their minds on their gender depending on which side of the bed they woke up on. Plus, it saves the American citizen money because tax dollars will no longer be used to pay for sex change surgeries.

It’s not like he made the decision in a vacuum. Military is not preschool for wanna be gender fluid snowflakes

I’m not pro/anti Trump as I believe he stands firm on some issues I agree with and other times he talks to much. However, I am so glad he held firm on this one.

Completely logical. It’s nothing against trans at all, it’s actually the same reason I can’t enlist in the military. As a 44 year old past my prime with no military experience, I would be much more of a burden than asset to the military.

Hell, Captain America got rejected from the army.
