That’s actually a VERY often quoted thing by these types of women. They use this EXACT SAME definition. I see the same wording used throughout Tumblr EVERYWHERE. they always make sure to use “cannot be racist/sexist towards white men” and make sure to include the words “structures,” “privilege,” “patriarchy,” “based on [insert excuse here]…”

She’s basically hiding behind the shield of anti-raicism in order to be racist. Her comment statement is true insofar that people of ethnic minorities aren’t held to the same level of accountability for being racist, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not capable of being racist. I grew up with plenty of different ethnicities as a kid and i’ve house shared with plenty too. And i’ve heard comments that they said about other ethnicities in the past that i just wouldn’t even dare think of saying as a white person.

And claiming that she’s the victim of male privelidge is basically her robbing herself of any agency or moral responsibility for her own behaviour. She;s basically saying that she want’s special treatment and to be treated as a child rather than a full grown adult. In effect, she can’t survive without the very same partriarchy that she claims is opressing her because without it, she’d have to take full responsability for what she is saying..

I actually opposed her arrest, because at the end of the day, her actions boil down to name calling on the internet.
