Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Alejandro Villanueva was the only player on his team to stand for the national anthem on Sunday. The rest of the team remained in the locker room as part of a league-wide protest.

Villanueva, a former Army Ranger, has said he understands protesting racial inequality in America, but disrespecting the flag and the people who serve our country isn’t the most effective way to do so.

Many NFL fans were moved by Villanueva’s decision to stand for the anthem, and now sales of his jersey have skyrocketed on the website Fanatics.com.

If that doesn’t tell you the mood of the people, nothing will. Middle America is patriotic and will not stand for this kneeling bulls~~~. What’s funny is, now kneeling will be a sign of protest against Trump. So now when Trump walks into a room of liberals, they all are gonna kneel before him!! All Hail The King lol.

Good on this guy for standing for what he believes in. We need more players like him. And F~~~ Mike Tomlin for chewing him out after the game.

    Thoughts??

I understand Tomlin keeping his team in the locker room.
He was trying to find a way to avoid the drama without p~~~ing people off and create a distraction.

However, throwing shade at a decorated combat vet, for showing respect to the colors, yeah, f~~~ him.

Any man who bucks against that kind of pressure to do the right thing is a man of honor.

I think his jersey sales should speak volumes to the NFL.

Yeah I will relish in the continual downwards spiral that the NFL has has taken.

They will see that this Orwellian, liberal double think will not stand.

Middle america is gonna hit them where it hurts, their pocket books.

Watch as the attendance rates fall, and the viewership plummets.

The end of this bulls~~~ is neigh.

    Fuck bitches... literally and metaphorically

ONE SHINING STAR IN THE NFL !!!!

Here is another one. LT Eric Fisher and teammates.

“Unfortunately this picture has come to my attention and I find that it is being used on multiple forms of media depicting me as a silent protester. I want to make it clear that this picture is strictly of me praying (as I have before every game of my career) thanking God for the opportunities I have in the great country of America. I have love for each and everyone of my teammates and all of us have the rights we wish to pursue when we take the field but you will not find me kneeling before our flag. I try to stay out of all this but I will not let the media portray me as someone I’m not. I thank all the brave men and woman (sic) who have made the ultimate sacrifice and have bled for our great flag so that we may have the freedoms we do. It is a privilege to play in the NFL… but it will always be a much larger privilege to be a citizen of the United States of America. God bless. Proud to be an American.”

The head coach came down hard on him after the game. I am sure he got it much worse in the locker room.

The comments section is none to kind to Tomlin.

Caved. Shame to see the man beat down.
    from the comments section
“Look how sad this whole thing has become. An ex Ranger who served 3 Tours feels the need to Apologize for standing for the National Anthem. Politically Correct, Leftist Extremism, Racist people who claim to be fighting Racism are leading our Country backwards.”

My family served or are serving, on both sides. I have family members who are buried in the ground who fought in Vietnam, who fought in WWII against Hitler so these people could disrespect their deaths.

Protest on your own time. Protest before the game, after the game, in the post game interview, during the week. The game is not the time and the place. Leave that s~~~ in the locker room. If not for the people who died in WWII, this country would be speaking German.
