I bought this monumental album 3 times in my life: Once on LP in 1979 and when that LP got played too much (It had a skip which is totally odd in my premium mint condition collection – 15 years later I was offered a 2nd hand but new copy… And in 1999 on double CD…
And in 1989 I bought “The Wall” as a VHS movie.
This is one of the first real MGTOW movies I ever came across. “Pink” raised by a possessive mother that “put all of her fears into him” has trouble with relationships and becomes an introverted and schizoid man.
This is worth watching. And you have to watch it multiple times to get behind the meaning of every detail. Again, I do have more than one VHS copy… 1 high price tape bought when it came out, played to death and 2 low cost “backups” bought from eBay 14 years later…
The reason to have a HiFi VCR back then. The music on the movie is somewhat different than that on the Album. And back then, the whole school class wanted to borrow my “car stereo use audio cassette copy” of the movie soundtrack…
In July of 2018, this honey pot forum was sold out to an unidentified NPC sock puppet and troll organization. Most independent thinkers and writers migrated to other MGTOW forums as a result of the never-ending infighting and deliberate trouble starting caused by members who were given "carte blanche" by the admin to do whatever they want. Before my departure, I only left a few thousand cat pics here to comfort and ridicule the feminist owners who now run this place. Their background agenda is to make MGTOW look like a club of losers the public eye. And during the course of 2019, they actually managed to destroy almost all other MGTOW venues as well. Here is the truth about "theindependentman.org" aka "TIM" which was created as an extended workbench to further divide the community. I have The Dark Side of the Moon on LP with all posters etc still intact passed on after my father died and my son will have it after I go,
All Pink Floyd music was a big part of my life. I caught me the first time I hard it and never left me.
Most albums I bought many times over in my life. Like The Dark Side Of The Moon.
It started with the prerecorded cassette in 1978, then LP in 1980, CD in 1992, LP in 1994 and SACD in 2001…
Same with many other Floyd albums…
“Wish You Were Here” and “Animals”… From Cassette to CD. I just love them.
Just later on, I bought the early Floyd stuff on CD. But the 1970’s were definitely “the prime time” for Pink Floyd.
But to my guilt: I haven’t even listened to “The Final Cut” (1983) yet. After 33 years it’s time… I do own it though… But where is it?
