Hey this is great! Thanks Rock for remembering to relay my message. Just poked head in to approve a thread waiting in “pending” and just saw this. Awesome and thanks for wording it as I sent it.

Yes the family drama is behind and seems to have worked out well. Mother is recovering. As Gargamel said, busy setting up and planning 2018 so there’s a lot going on right now…. but I really felt sorry for not being able to join in the chat and work on the site last week.

On getting pulled over . . . .

Tonight I got a phone call while driving , and I can’t drive stick and talk on the phone, so I pulled over to take the call. Another car was on my ass by the side of the road, so I pulled ahead about 30 feet to pull over again… and that’s exactly when a cop (on a bike) saw me on the phone.

He barked at me and REALLY gave me anxiety the way he shouted at me like I committed a real crime and my pulse started racing. I assured him I was already pulled over and just rolled up further to give the guy behind room to park.

I happened to have a headlight ( front low beam ) out, so I had my high beams on to see on this dark road better. The cop was really trying to intimidate me, and was unbelievably harsh.

But I was “yes SIR!! no SIR!!” and that seemed to make it OK. I thought Was gonna get f~~~ed for being on the phone when I DONT EVER talk or text and drive. In fact, I told the person I was speaking with “wait, I can’t drive and talk so I need to pull over”.

He ended up believing me ( or he actually saw me parked and just cooled down ) but for the next hour, I was literally sweating bullets from his confrontation.

Not a single blemish on my driving record so he nailed me for the high beams but ignored the phone. I think he just wanted to give me a heart attack. It worked.

What a day. I’m knackered and taking a time out.

Hope your mom’s recovery goes super smooth, KM. Take all the time you need, and give your broom to @gambit.

I can do the sweeping around but Gambit is better at whacking folks with the broom if they step out of line. lol.

I’m getting hit with the same s~~~ KM! Exact same s~~~, exact same time!

I had a cop zoom up my ass and follow me for a mile. (last night)

The blue lights went on (WFT-did I do?) he was in a rush to go nowhere and ripped on by me and turned his lights off. I have Copfobia after all the s~~~ I went through with the corrupt laws and corrupt officials around here. (swat team has that effect)

My mom had cancer resurface a month ago, she’s undergoing a non invasive procedure and the prognosis looks excellent! I guess she wants to go to heaven one piece at a time!

And me? I’ve been f~~~ed up since the end of summer and seeing a specialist, I’m enduring %70 down time waiting for myself to heal. That’s why I’ve been here most the time, internal injuries take a long time to heal. WTF!

I’m not sitting in my own p~~~, s~~~, and stink but it would be allot easier if I was!

Another life’s clobbering! I was supposed to get in shape for skiing but that’s a can-no-do!

I’m doing fine in spirits but not anything else! F~~~ it!

meh f~~~ing cops. He probably knew you did exactly as you said, but decided to power trip anyways. There are a bunch of those bad apple cops. A more reasonable cop would look at your record, look at your situation, give you a warning, and let you go on your way. Normally only if they run your plates and see you have a string of mechancial related tickets, speeding, cell phone, etc, they’ll throw the book at you.

I’m sorry to hear about your mother, and I wish you and your family all the best during this tough and hectic time of the year.

Wishing all the best to you and your mother KM. I also get extremely nervous when I get pulled over. You never know who’s walking up to your window. It could be a polite officer just doing their job, or it could be an angry lunatic who made their way onto the force. You do a hell of a good job KM, and thanks to you and your team for giving us this platform.
