But the lawsuit says Rodas was only going between 63 and 71 MPH when it careened out of control.

Having seen a few photos of the crash aftermath, there’s no f~~~ing way it was only going 71mph. Ghoulish little girl is trying to cash in on daddy’s corpse.

California has a long history of awarding money from rich defendants to people who launch civil suits — no matter how frivolous. Her lawyers will be getting their own Porches soon.

Basically they would like to blame the car and have it banned from the road. These idiots ruin everything, they are why no one wants to take any risks/liability.

Some Porsche’s can be unstable at high speeds in the hands of an inexperienced driver, but that’s hardly the fault of the car. If you can’t handle it, you shouldn’t be driving it.

Taking any vehicle onto a public road and traveling beyond the speed limit is inherently dangerous. Some vehicles can handle speed better than others but it really is irrelevant. Your safety on a public road at those kind of speeds cannot be ensured, Its not the Volkswagen groups fault he that the did decided to flaw it. There is simply no point or way in ensuring a car can protect a passenger in a high speed crash, once you go over 120KM/h, really it sort of the drivers fault. When you go beyond that no amount of safety equipment can protect you. High speeds on public roads are dangerous no amount of air bags and ESC technology will change that.

Kind of reminds me Jack Kirby’s kids. (For those of you who don’t know, Jack Kirby was a comic book artist that, along with writer Stan Lee, co-created most of Marvel’s major characters). I feel bad the guy didn’t get paid what he deserved, but he moved on and made his peace with it. His f~~~ing leech daughters, though, have been trying to sue Marvel for years now that their dad is dead. F~~~ing disgusting.

    63-71?!

Maybe 263-271. There was nothing left.

The irony is that Paul Walker founded a charity called Reach Out. When not working thats where he spent his time.

    Quote:
Paul wasn’t someone who would just write a check and lend his name to an organization; he was the heart and soul of Reach Out WorldWide,” said JD Dorfman, Reach Out Worldwide. “Paul was the first one in and the last one out, he led by example and his hard work and dedication inspired everyone who had the privilege of working with him. He led one of the first teams into the hardest hit areas of Haiti and traveled to Chili to bring water, medical aid and hope after the Earthquake and Tsunami. He ran a chainsaw clearing debris and helping people get back into their homes during the hottest days after the tornadoes in Alabama…

His daughter is now in charge of the charity. Given her grasping nature I expect it to be run into the ground in a few years.

It is not the car’s fault. At 70mph, a fairly small tree will cut a car in half.

Here is what I think happened….. the guy was doing burnouts. Unlike cars of the 60’s, modern sports cars don’t just roast the tires. After a short time they get traction and often have unpredictable results because the car launches whatever direction it is going at that instant.

This is why you see new exotics, Hellcats, super Vettes, etc getting crashed. Sometimes people do stupid things and die.

There is no doubt Porsche cars are notorious for being death traps in event of a crash. They just disintegrate at impact – there is very little protection built in them

If you can’t handle your car, don’t buy it.

You want to burnout the rubber shoes? Take it to a track.

You want to do anything else than moving from point A to point B in the streets? Take it to the track.

My father always told me that the place for stunts with cars and motor bikes are on the track, and I respect that.

Porsche’s are great cars, safe and sound. But if you can’t handle a high performance car, don’t buy it, and never try to do stunts with it.

Why do you even need a Porche to drive on public roads? Most streets speed limit 30-45mph maybe 50 for devided highways, 55 at most? Why go ’round in a jet?

Because of the comfort… Porsche’s, BMW’s, Mercedes’ and cars like that are better than your house sofa, with leather, A/C units, sound system and stuff like that, with the advantage that it is mobile.

Speed and power are only factors, but most of us don’t seem to enjoy the COMFORT to be in such car… Of course that CC’s, HP’s, Kg/m’s and every single measure of performance is something we enjoy, and is praised among us, but, what about comfort? How many of us think about the comfort when you choose a car?

The nice suspension, who sucks the road bumps like if they were 0.1cm stones, the noiseless environment of the c~~~pit, the f~~~ing comfortable seats made of high quality leather, the space between the seats that aloows you to sit in a near perfect position… All that are things that are in the car, that we don’t pay much (conscious) attention, but that are essential in a car…

    hahaha

I could give you a thousand reasons to be on a Porsche, brother…

Farrari offers training courses before the car is purchased. Also a guy wrecked a Challenger hellcat right off the lot, maybe he should sue dodge?

There is no doubt Porsche cars are notorious for being death traps in event of a crash.

And Porsche drivers have a reputation for being inexperienced reckless dumbasses. Probably because for a lot of guys it’s their first somewhat high performing car and they don’t quite know what to do with it yet. This is one of the reasons why I’m interested in the Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ – the light weight, pusher drive, and those little prius tires let you do all sorts of fun jackass stuff at relatively low, relatively safer speeds.

Also, wasn’t this guy the star of that Fast and Furious movie series? I’m beginning to wonder if he confused movie physics with real life.

Why do you even need a Porche to drive on public roads? Most streets speed limit 30-45mph maybe 50 for devided highways, 55 at most? Why go ’round in a jet?

For the acceleration and handling. Because it’s nice to have it when you occasionally need it.

Heading down the highway at 55MPH is all fine and good. there’s no real need to go any faster (unless you want a speeding ticket). But then you suddenly find yourself at the end of a stack of cars behind a logging truck going uphill at 25MPH for the next ten miles. When that happens you want to pass cleanly and get back into your own lane as quickly as possible. And that ain’t happening if you’re driving some family sedan.

    Meh.

Speaking as a motorcyclist who rides year round, such things are not really all that essential. I prefer to experience the road, not isolate myself from it.

That girl is stupid. What she is failing to realize is that the crash reconstruction team is fully capable of downloading the data from the vehicle’s black box. The black box is able to tell exactly how fast the vehicle was traveling and at what time the vehicle was traveling at that particular speed. How do I know this? It’s because my father was killed in a vehicle wreck earlier this year. I read the entire police report about my father’s incident. The black box records whether or not the driver was wearing a seat belt, it records every time the brake pedal is applied, it records the percentage the gas pedal was compressed, it records the velocity all the way into the time of impact, and a whole bunch of other things. The police report should have all of the details of Paul Walker’s incident. That girl probably didn’t even bother reading the police report because she’s so used to having other people do things for her.

If I was in a bike, than I will agree with you 100%. But in a car?

I mean, the environment of a car is designed to isolate you from the outside, to look like the best lounge room that your money can buy…

The bike… Is all about freedom… But a nice seat and a road-sucking suspensio is essential…

F~~~ it, let us all buy bikes. Bikes are the MGTOW equivalent of automobiles. 🙂

That depends on the car, and what you want to do with it. Some people like to be all caged up in their little traveling womb, and they buy cars accordingly. Some of us like to feel the road and hear the engine, whether on two, three, or four wheels.
