Everything in life has an opportunity cost. Every decision we make must be made while keeping this in mind.
As an example, I choose to spend a lot of time on this website. I could be doing a bunch of other things, but I find it a more valuable use of my time because of what I gain from this website. What I mean by this website are the individual members who post useful information, respond to my posts and participate in the sharing of knowledge and experiences.
The same can be said for how many hours we sleep, exercise, work, socialize, etc. Time is the most valuable commodity and we all decide how to spend it based on what we value most at any given point in our lives.
I find this concept to be extremely therapeutic and comforting whenever I think about what I am currently doing in life and why.
We can also reconcile how we spent our time over the past 5 or 10 years and how that led to us being where we are today. We can look at our health, wealth and relationships with others to see where we focused more of our time.

Information about cat breeding…
In July of 2018, this honey pot forum was sold out to an unidentified NPC sock puppet and troll organization. Most independent thinkers and writers migrated to other MGTOW forums as a result of the never-ending infighting and deliberate trouble starting caused by members who were given "carte blanche" by the admin to do whatever they want. Before my departure, I only left a few thousand cat pics here to comfort and ridicule the feminist owners who now run this place. Their background agenda is to make MGTOW look like a club of losers the public eye. And during the course of 2019, they actually managed to destroy almost all other MGTOW venues as well. Here is the truth about "theindependentman.org" aka "TIM" which was created as an extended workbench to further divide the community. When you register, they install a spyware Zombie cookie on your browser that does all kinds of things the user does not know of: http://www.filedropper.com/essay-on-the-removal-of-malware-cookies-used-by-tim
Excellent observation Gambit. Quite a few years ago, I modified the common acronym “R-O-I” (Return On Investment) to meet my own needs. As a result, an “R-O-T-I” evaluation – Return On Time Invested is routinely conducted. This simple assessment has allowed me to maximize my time through both qualitative and quantitative metrics; it is also frequently augmented with the standard cost/risk-benefit analysis.
Whenever I casually cite my strategy to anyone, they (usually) give me a perplexed look, unable to grasp its genius-of-efficiency roots; possibly wondering if I “have a screw loose.” If what I’m accomplishing now constitutes “having a screw loose”, then I’d better loosen up some more. Ha!
Excellent observation Gambit.
Thanks, Golfer.

It sounds like we are both on the same page.

Likewise. This is why we are both here.

Anonymous38Life requires a fine balancing act. Health, wealth, love and happiness.
I find it useful around this time of year to look at myself now and over the last 12 months. If I’m not getting better then I am not doing something right.
As someone interested in Buddhist / Taoist philosophy I do not necessarily agree with the religion of self improvement, however as a man I can see how gradually improving oneself brings peace, contentment and fulfilment.
You are correct in that everything we do has an outcome, this is simple cause and effect. I used to eat a lot of small sweet snacks at work because I was bored and they tasted good. A small thing but which can affect your physical and mental wellbeing in at number of ways. I replaced them with fruit and nuts, my skin, teeth, mood etc are all better now.
Through experience, observation, intelligence we naturally refine ourselves over the years, if we are not then we are doing ourselves a disservice as men.
Who does not want to become healthier, less stressed, me peaceful, more wealthy / free, to have more time?
