A few years back a Chinese MMORPG “King of the World” decreed that all players with female characters had to prove their identity via webcam interview with a game dev.

Granted there are lots of work around’s, like getting a female friend to be in front of the webcam for you, but I think this idea would work better with dating sites. Mostly since guys trying to Catfish as girls, usually don’t have any friends as girls to help them verify their “femininity”.

Sure there are issues with logistics, privacy, false positives and the like. However when you see the sheer number of fake FarceBook, Badoo, OKCryingGame and POFFF (Plenty of Fatties, Fuglies and Fakes) accounts, something has to be done.

Online dating as it stands now is pretty much a joke anyway. At least having staff vetting new accounts may help with the sincerity of the sites products… er I mean, personal accounts.

I would like to see dating sites that charge men also charge women, women get a free ride on these things and as a result join up with a half arsed attitude to begin with and just f~~~ guys around.

The problem with gender now days is they have created all these bulls~~~ ones so a man could still click female and then argue that he feels female and they would let him through because otherwise he would sue.
