    Ten cores of sexyness… at $1,100 for the processor alone its worth it.

    However… I reeeally would love this new chip.
    Intel Xeon Platinum 8180 28 cores / 56 threads 35mb of L3 cache. Smokes the f~~~ out of everything in benchmarks. Only 12,000.00 for one chip.

    Wow. They’ve come a long way, but you could wait til next year and get it for much, much less.

    yep, If we learned something is that Intel had the opportunity to wipe off AMD all these years, instead they decided to sleep during that time, so AMD is back!, and coming strong

    No they didn’t go after AMD for the same reason Microsoft didn’t kill Apple when it had a chance. If they destroy the last of their competition the government moves in, calls them a monopoly and breaks them up. Corporations learned from the AT&T breakup. They keep enough competition around but not enough to effect them.
