There are no safe spaces in MGTOW!

When I encounter folks talking about MGTOW on other forums, media articles, etc they refer to us as uncivilized despicable men.

That is because we are men. The majority of men that find us are boys in one form or another. They exist in a snow flake world.

Part of taking the red pill is ejecting down the s~~~ tube.

I guarantee you that you will not like what you’re going to hear and discover with reality.

    So, buckle up butter cup!

Sadly there’s a lot of damage done to those men that arrive here and … the solution couldn’t possibly be to create safe spaces that mirrors the environment that created the damage in the first place!

Yep, we don’t tell you how nice you are. We are not pleasant.

Each man has his viewpoint on tattoos, religion, racial issues, women, etc.

No man on this site could be as harsh as my father was with me!

My father didn’t have to be pleasant with me. He spoke truth as he saw it from his perspective with my best interest at heart.

I chose to get butt hurt. One day I became a man. After that, I valued my father’s advice. After my father died, his advice lived on and is still valid today.

Oh Captain my Captain, speak your mind with all of the force a man can muster!

The OP has a valid point if the perspective is out of above listed (heart) focus. Then you consider the source.

    Peace brothers

I am more in favor of even removing the edit button. If you write something, it should be permanent.

You have 20minutes to repair, correct, and amend a post so it reads the way you want it to read then it’s engraved in stone, unlike others where you can retract everything even months later. This leads to threads so shot full of holes they’re not even worth the read, making the over all site “here today, gone tomorrow, making links that other site have to quote threads null, void, and useless.

I’ve been quoted by other writers on different sites and those links are still live, active, and accurate.

I’ve said some stupid s~~~ here and never once asked Keymaster to retract it. I rather go up in flames and learn a lesson than hide like a coward only concerned about his image!

A bigger coward is someone that thinks and says nothing at all!

I’m not sure, but I also think that once someone has liked your post you can no longer edit. For me, I only use it to clean up my writing, or to post another thought that came to mind when rereading it, which I always do once it’s posted.

And to the OP’s point, just remember that everything that’s written on the internet isn’t just for you. I laugh every time I read an article on the internet and go look in the comments section and the first one is “Well, in my situation………”. I immediately think of the NAWALT argument. Not All _____ Are Like That. Well, good for you cupcake. Yeah, cupcake. Because it’s almost written by a woman. First line of defense for them I guess.

FYI, just edited and changed you to your in the first sentence. Please don’t take my edit button away.

Please, don’t remove the edit button. My spelling is beyond attrocious (sp?) and half the things I write can be better worded.

Personally, the LAST thing I’m here to do is bash ANYONE!! Especially a man going through what we all know is a tough multi-stage process of realization. I come here to share information and to learn, laugh as well as hopefully help heal others. I appreciate you all.

I personally try and avoid making any discussion personal as much as possible. It really isn’t that hard to do. However, I’ve seen others, both new and old, do that all the time. It’s just asking for trouble, and usually causes a lot of people to take it the wrong way. It’s self defeating, IMO.

That said, I completely get how it doesn’t mesh with someone’s style, or it’s just a habit they haven’t shed yet. Whatever.

The only thing that really bother’s me is when someone is intentionally try to start trouble, troll, and generally be destructive around here. That’s when it’s time to call the genie.

    Ok. Then do it.

I agree with you man, we don’t need any policing. If you want to go to your safe space, go on “Twitter” or “Youtube” where Censorship runs rampant like wild animals.

Us Men come here so we can express our opinions and views. If you don’t like something, either ignore it or just say why you don’t like it. We don’t need dislike buttons or a report button that will be abused!

Marriage and Divorce for a man is like getting a cactus shoved up your ass. It’s painful with all the spines that go in and it is painful getting all the spines out, meanwhile Wifey gets most of the money, your home, your kids, and practically everything you own.

I would have to disagree, what if you realized you needed to add something? How would you feel if it happened to you? We all deserve the right to be able to edit our content and add new things if need be.

I am more in favor of even removing the edit button. If you write something, it should be permanent.

There’s a twenty minute window for edits. That allows a poster to fix spelling, grammar, and other structural mistakes.

It’s rarely, if ever, used to make posts disappear down the memory hole.

Makes lot of sense, now while we are at it speaking of keeping it neat would you be all for more buttons like other sites have? Some have dislike and report abuse?

The problem with this is that some folks consider being proved wrong as being abused

    All good points.
But I definitely don’t like changing any “RULES” we have or don’t have.
I think things are fine the way it’s currently set up.
A lot of guys have made the case for keeping the edit button and none of the safe space buttons to protect someone’s feelings.

Another thought I saw and agree with was the fact that there’s nothing really wrong with anyone leaving MGTOW, either.
Consider it as either dropping out or graduating.
They are always welcomed back, even under a different identity.
No problems and no questions asked.

We have a really great thing going here.

    It has already saved lives.

Thanks to all of you (us), we have something that brings us hope, clarity, peace, sanity and all kinds of other good s~~~.

    The system is already working.

The weak link here is our own personalities that prevent us from going our own ways in peace.
By joining, we have agreed to let 25,000+ other men into our personal lives and trusted them to some degree with our futures.

Use this group to improve yourselves and help others AT YOUR LEISURE.

Remember. Nobody has to read anything they don’t like to see.
You are going to have to buck-up and self-censor.
If you don’t like it, don’t look at it.

It really is just as simple as that.

    Men are not complicated.

Should we assume Keymaster is sleeping right now or is he just quietly hoping this all irons itself out with a discussion like this?

    … safe space buttons…

Such buttons are the antithesis of MGTOW and anyone who “feels” they need them should look in the mirror.

    The system is already working.

Exactly, so there’s no need to fix it.

Some have dislike and report abuse ( buttons)

We had a “dislike” button. Women tried to join and started downvoting everyone – if you can believe that. That’s the kind of infantile s~~~ that’s out there. To join, only to give you downvotes. It was the most pathetic thing I ever saw.

If you’re going to have a LIKE button, you should have a dislike button too. But it was used unfairly by the wrong people. We can actually bring it back now, because you can’t just join and start rating or posting anymore.

We already planned on adding POLLS This way, members can “vote” on something anonymously and they can always run. We can take a pulse and ask a general question on a separate page just for that purpose we can even control if it’s for “members only” or “guest visitors” to answer too. POLLS will be very cool addition and a show of hands will count.

    A “REPORT” BUTTON:

We had that for a while too – on the side of every post. But it was overused and misused by far. It was good for labelling a post directly but otherwise it’s not fair and brings too much negative attention like a screaming red siren light.

    AN “ABUSE” BUTTON?

Please. If anyone feels “abused” by anything they read, they should forfeit their internet connection immediately.

which forces KM to come down from his golden throne and see who messed up

Believe me. I’m not sitting on golden throne.
Please think of me as the janitor with a mop.

We should start a “knock out room” or a Frequently Aggressive Posters FAP (lol) page where members can go at each other in peace.

Sorry the private chat is down. That was intended for guys to duke it out outside of the forums and making echanges privately. I have put big pressure on bringing that back. But our public comments system is down and being worked on too.

The site is getting BIG and this is still not my/our full time gig. So patience is required.

I am more in favor of even removing the edit button. If you write something, it should be permanent.

That’s a basic feature and it’s required. I need it. Everybody needs it to correct spelling etc. And there is a TIME LIMIT of 30 minutes (I believe) so that nobody can start a topic …. get a dozen replies . . . and then completely edit what they originally wrote.

    they leave MGTOW?
you mean they go away… to go their own way…?

    Exactly my thought.

There are no safe spaces in MGTOW!

When I encounter folks talking about MGTOW on other forums, media articles, etc they refer to us as uncivilized despicable men.

    THEY WOULD.

But they are hardly “civilized” themselves. ( Think “Antifa” )

I have said “no” to women before – just “no”.
And they thought I was “being mean”.

Please, don’t remove the edit button. My spelling is beyond attrocious (sp?) and half the things I write can be better worded.

It’s a core feature of the forums engine. Not a bell or whistle. It stays.

Sometimes it’s not possible and can kick out an “error” or ability to edit, but that’s a bug in the forums engine too. It happens sometimes when someone quotes another quote. (two levels of quotes).

The problem with this is that some folks consider being proved wrong as being abused…

They need to get off the internet, PRONTO. It’s clearly not place for delicate sensibilities.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

I guess it’s time for me to chime in.

    OK.

These guys think they are going to bust wide open in the first month they are here, rack up 5,000 points for sharing their innate wisdom and knowledge on women and get coddled along the way.

And WTF is up with the ‘announcements’ of leaving.

It’s worse than during my blue pill era when each pumpkin I was with would ultimately have to have a freaking announcement meeting letting me know when things were over:

    ‘It’s just not working out’

‘I need some time to focus on myself’

‘We need to take a break’

‘I just don’t know where this is going’

Seriously guys. I left the country for five months at one point without telling a single person.

What the hell is going on?

Do we need to have a Safe Room Sub-Forum for members with less than 90 days of time on here?

    We are men. C~~~-Up Playa’s

If you thought the outside world was rough: Nobody is going to be changing your diapers, feeding you formula or making sure you have nap time in here.
