This s~~~ is worrying, especially if you are intending to, part way or have moved full on off grid.
As men we tend to be self reliant but the corporate’s want to screw you over every which way they can.
It has started happening in Australia but not in such a big way yet.

In Australia you can collect rain water in residential areas such as towns and cities but in the countryside,
a growing number of councils will tax you on water collected if you are not a farmer depending on the size of your water
    tanks and calculated rain fall.

    F~~~ing great eh ?

Yea, this is more government nonsense. I think if you own the land and collected enough to fill a swimming pool or less they should stay the F out of your business. I can see concerns with large amounts being collected as runoff would be much less into streams and whatnot…

from what i understand, your not allowed storing more than 3 months of food / water.

but anywho; so long as your not destroying a lake or river on someone else’s property; it should be perfectly legal and should not require a bunch of mumbo jumbo permit s~~~.

now this has me second guessing my retirement plans; part of which is to build a man-made lake ( if the land i buy doesn’t have one ) and use that lake to grow fish for living off grid.

    My Goal: To Leave Society.

Just curious since I don’t live in Australia, but couldn’t you just have a well dug?
