Actually, in my opinion, the gentlemen here do a remarkable job of identifying and addressing tuna. I don’t detect this problem as quickly as some of the older and wiser guys.

I still find it amazing that women try to invade a men’s forum to spread discord. You would think they would have something better to do.

Some of the younger dudes, and Russky is one of them, have a bit of an effeminate/blue pill streak in them from their conditioning. That “joke” thing is really one of those things that women do, and weak men do.

I used to deal with that when I was younger too. A lot of my friends at the time would say I couldn’t take a joke. And it’s true, I can’t, I don’t let people mock me in “jest”, and I in turn don’t do it to other people. I don’t care if they do it out of my presence, but those are things I don’t tolerate in my presence and I disapprove of.

And ultimately, I’ve seen both men and women respect me for it. They still do it to each other—just not around me. And this also plays to my benefit when someone tries to slander me, it’s happened a few times and people responded “phoenix would never say that” and then got into contact with me. That’s the reputation that precedes a man that doesn’t joke around, it builds up and then miscommunications and bad feelings won’t pop up.

I don’t mean to run down the younger guys on here, just taking this as a time to offer some life advice that worked for me, and that I think is a trait of masculine men. The traditional man of the past was stoic and no nonsense, and would not “joke” and say idle words. I think men were right to be that way, it becomes a man to be serious.
