So i don’t live in the US, at the time ( 2013 ) she said she was 2.5 months pregnant probably and in my country there is no planned parenthood, out here there are two options for abortions- either you apply for state funding which will only be approved in extreme cases such as rape / proven disability to take care of the child or the future child being diagnosed ahead of time for major health problems/disabilities.

The second option is going to a private clinic where you would need to pay the doctor directly, i didn’t check for the costs cause it wasn’t my problem but i agree that 2000$ seems very high for such a (i assume) common procedure.
