Now councils plan to charge for how heavy our bins are

For the last two years my council tax has gone up, the roads and pavements are kneed deep in rubbish, according to their own documents referencing various laws my council don’t provide enough skip volume for my flats-they refused to do anything despite repeated letters as do the management company at my flats. Bins are now only emptied once a month.

Oh the council hounded me for two years for money I iddn’t owe and ignored letter after letter.

An old man in the west country in his late 70s died of a heart attack because a council demanded £1000s off him he didn’t owe.

I won in the end.

the CEOs of council (why the f~~~ does a council need a CEO) will be on £250k plus generous benefits….the whole thing stinks from top to bottom

Can’t say I have this problem… living outside the limits of any municipality has its advantages, but roadside trash service isn’t one of them. I have to haul my refuse to a County transfer station myself.

They’d be unpleasantly surprised with the lightness of my bins. You can do a lot of simple things to prevent a heavy bin.

With the addresses of the counsel members all you need is some lead, old books and bricks – go fill their bins.
