i get that people want to teach the guy a lesson and the system maybe doesn’t do enough to stop that kind of parking but people taking the law into their own hands is no good. 2 crimes don’t make a right, vandalizing his car made him parked there longer, now his safety and the safety of other drivers are at risk when he drives home.  Public shaming as a form of punishment was done away with long ago.  No more scarlet letters, no more putting people in stocks, etc.

I think the bigger problem with handicap parking is all the obese people and others who aren’t really handicapped taking advantage of it.

There is a social movement thing in Russia against drivers on  pedestrian walks and illegal parking called СтопХам : and from what I understand this is not considered vandalism there, in fact government supported them.

Easy to come of paper, with some water and soap. Your car is not scratched or affected at all. It’s not vandalism.

Vandalism would be If someone scratched a word “stop parking here you c~~~” with key or a knife on his car.

 

And shaming is an efficient tool to be used still, in such situations.

Personally I think they overdid it with papers, as it took him more time to actually start driving, that I agree with.

Im not living there to know how Hot the issue is, so dunno, interesting video and that’s that.
