And the ones who are, are busy waging a covert misandrist war against men with misandrist interpretations of nature in their research studies.

A marine Mr. Mom: Male pipefish gives birth, but some are deadbeat dads, study shows

This is an article from Phys.org and is one of hundreds of such articles in this and similar science and tech research related websites.

Dads are always deadbeats and moms nurturing, even in the animal kingdom.

    SIGH

Do these menopausal harpies even realise what they are doing? Do they have any notion of the danger inherent in such vile propaganda and that too in the highest levels of the academia aimed against the most productive section of the society.

What is this, if not something that is utterly reminiscent of Nazism?

On one hand they are constantly trying to devalue our position in the society with lies and misinterpretations and on the other hand they are seeking our complete extermination.

The only difference is that the Nazis at least did something for Germany, obviously. These women contribute absolutely nothing to the society except their villainy to produce more of their kind.

They are worse than the Nazis so calling them Feminazis would be insulting the the Nazis.

These are parasites. Nothing more, nothing less.

The OP reminded me of a Big Lebowski quote:

“Say what you will about the tenets of National Socialism, AT LEAST it’s an ethos!”

Naw, but seriously, folks. How many women are even interested in pursuing a career in a STEM field? Out of those that are, how many are willing to dedicate their entire lives (read: forego the option to drop your career for child-rearing) to research and advancement of their field? Out of those still standing, how many truly understand that when entering a man-dominated career that men are naturally professionally competitive? That the criticism and hazing they receive is just part of the ages-old system that ensures that the wheat stays and the chaff blows away in the wind, not because they’re being picked on because they have a special vagina?

This isn’t just limited to STEM fields. Every single risk-related field is dominated by men precisely because of the risk involved. We enter these fields knowing full well that our hard work may never pay off, and often knowing that there is no safety net, no option to “well, if I fail I’ll just find a rich woman to marry and everything will be fine”.

Sigh as someone going into engineering, I often wonder if my work will be accused of being “Patriarchal Oppression” even if it’s intended to improve people’s lives.

Here is a somewhat related example: All Women Indy Car Team for 2016

Now an Indy car team is a serious business with lots of money involved.  This is clearly a flat out flaunting of disregard for all of the “employment equality” laws women have been fighting for.  The hypocrisy is, unfortunately, not really at all surprising.

But even more than that is how these women don’t even seem to understand the issues.  I wound up in engineering because I loved math, I loved figuring out how stuff works.  As a little boy, I figured out how to make paper airplanes – then I figured out how to build flying models built out of toilet paper tubes and paper and popsicle sticks and tape.  Then I figured out how to program a computer and thought how cool the Mandelbrot set was. Then physics was a phenomenal revelation and I started connecting the dots between math as an abstract thing and how it can be used to explain the natural world with crazy spooky accuracy.

I was never interested in any of it because I had a bunch of male cheerleaders encouraging me to do it “because I can”.  I did it because I loved math, physics and engineering for the sake of math, physics and engineering.  Role models never really entered into it.

I have worked with many smart women in the STEM field.  Some much better at certain things than I am. Very, very smart women (predominantly Asian, for what it’s worth).  These women had a natural inclination towards their area of interest, worked through school and got their PhD’s and succeeded because they were pursuing things for the right reason.

All this Indy car team is going to achieve is to convince girls who otherwise wouldn’t have an interest in STEM to take up the challenge because of “girl power”.  University and the workforce will weed them out.  Such tactics will do more harm than good methinks.

Is the complaint about not enough women in STEM, coming from guys in STEM who are tired of office parties being sausagefests?  There is the feminist side, but I am not sure what the complaints are here.  Things are what they are.  Go into what you feel is your best fit, and be as professional as possible.

Nope. In everything I’ve been involved with the focus is on “The Project”.  It’s a relationship between professionals, not a relationship between genders. In other words, with STEM you have your team on one side, a goal on the other, and some set of challenges in between.  The ONLY thing people really care about is reaching that goal.

We don’t get modern advanced technology because the people involved are preoccupied by something as asinine as a “sausage fest”.

Yea these broads just continue to take shots at us, they never pass up the opportunity to bash team men, it’s like a natural hobby or addictive pastime for women. To them, being worthless, gossiping and spreading hate through out the world while deceiveing the weak minded is just what they love, women love drama. They rather study drama filled sociology or gender studies any day of the week.

Given the skills of female drivers, the organisers of the Indy 500 should have a few open graves available.

Being in an all-male 30 person crew for an Engineering dept. definitely backs your topic up..

We have inspectors with females in their crew so that about 2w/35m.

Wymyn really don’t want to do the “dirty” stuff I heard when seeing us carry tools, ladders, and hard hats..

Re: your link makes sense if the pipefish likes the mate than it would take care of the offspring more. Does that mean they have personalities?

As a long-time member of the engineering profession, I can’t say I’m pleased with the situation now.

My inspiration was the space program.  The early astronauts and test pilots were my heroes.  I thought that if I studied engineering, I could do something like what they did some day.  One had to be good to get into the business and one had to be good to finish.  There was no such thing as enforced quotas when I started my undergrad studies.

Nowadays, it’s largely about “needs and expectations” and “relationships”, as if equations and hardware didn’t matter.  (Since when do bolts get tightened or software get compiled purely on the basis of “feelings”?)

I’m off by myself, working on my own stuff now.  I don’t miss the workplace.

Another career engineer here, I work in an engineering organisation of 150 people, we have six women, none of them engineers, all in admin making up the majority of that area. We have all the “affirmative action” programs going, and the biggest frustration management have is having to interview completely unsuitable candidates because “equality and diversity”

So far over the course of my career I’ve worked with all of three women that I (and their respective institutions) could say were competent engineers, it will probably come as no surprise that all three were military.

A few hundred years from now …. post collapse … in a new world rebuilt by …. well you know who ☺ ….. history will reveal the nazis were the building blocks for feminism.

    I s~~~ you not.

Slowly but surely the fembots are trying to erase men from everything …. even books and films.

However, deckchair, hat and beer please 😃

The thing about the idea of more women in STEM fields that scares me is that I seriously saw a post somewhere the other day that said, “If your understanding of evolutionary biology causes you to believe there’s superiority in one gender, you’re doing it wrong.”

Thing is, this was by someone who regularly posts feminist content, so you know it was only aimed at men. I mean, do women REALLY believe men can’t just be biologically BETTER at s~~~? They seem to take the road of “men are stronger than women!” when trying to justify why abuse and rape laws are slanted in their favor or why a man can’t defend himself against an assailing female.

We do not have enough women in the coal mining industry, the sanitation industry, garbage collection industry, construction industry and the road maintenance industry.

Why is there no initiatives to enforce equality in these industries ? Why only STEM ? STEM is a good field but the ones I mention are industries which prop up and keep civilization going. Without these, civilization will fall off into disarray.

What about the fact that we don’t have enough homeless women ? Or we don’t have enough women dying in wars in the front lines ? Or we don’t have equal numbers of women and men in prisons ? Where is the gender equality initiatives for these ?

Women :- Only want equality when it suits them, otherwise they want privileges.

F~~~ em’ and go your own way.

Close your eyes and imagine … oh say … 200 years from now… when all of STEM is female.

Now think real hard ….. what that world will look like …. what STEM will be turning out.

Can you see it? Can you see the new world? Hover trains, Mars city, ocean power source?

I for the life of me can’t 😂

    Darth:

Even if there were more women in those various occupations, will they actually be alongside the men doing the same job?  Will they be using the same tools and work on the same things?

    No?  I thought so.
