EVERY DAY I just wish that I could GO BACK.
Personally, I would prefer to be in my early 20’s in the early/mid 70’s, and just kinda stay there.
I have No Desire to be part of this Matrix.
I don’t totally Hate My Daily Existence, I just wish that I could live out my days in another era.
It’s a nice Summer Night.
It would be perfect to go to a Drive In and watch just about any movie from the interior of my Red 66 Chevelle SS 396 4 speed with Cragar rims and Thrush mufflers with 60’s in the rear and 70’s up front.
Maybe, get into a lil 1/4 mile rat race or at least go for a cruise with all the windows down and my vent windows tilted in while listening to Sprongsteen’s newly released Born to Run 8 track.
Yeah, that would be a Hell of a Way to Spend a Saturday Night.
Instead, I’ll just eat some food, stay home, watch whatever and put an end to just another day of existence.
It wasn’t a bad day, in fact it was actually better than ANY day that I spend at my place of enslavement Monday through Friday, but it still wasn’t MY DAY either……
In a World of Justin Beibers Be a Johnny Cash
I know EXACTLY what you mean, Bro.
Our DAY is coming.
Tick fucckking TOCK.
There is NO wisdom in signing a contract with someone who benefits from breaking it.
I just hit 37 and I wish I could take what I learned over the years and go back to when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s and start over. At least I never married, or even dated a girl even once, but I did once kiss a girl in the school library. Boy did the other kids give me a hard time over it for years as they over everything else about me.
The good thing about some of you guys is that I can learn from your past experiences and make the choice of what to or not to do. I never wanted to get married, and I have my reasons to why not, but reading your guy’s previous female experience gives me more reasons to not marry and have kids. I have no room for chaos and destruction and drama and expenses. I rather my time and money go towards making my life comfortable.

When I was in high school I had a 1970 Mercury Cougar. The car was blue with a 351 Cleveland and C6 transmission. Just imagine if we owned those cars today what they’d be worth now…

That’s the right kind of “Cougar” to be pining for
Like ResidentEvil7, I never married or had a relationship. As a result, I was able to hold onto one of my high school (class of ’96) muscle cars – a 1970 Olds 442. I’ve added other muscle cars and hit rods since then, and continue to do so. If done correctly, they’re like driveable 401ks.

Back ‘in the day’ I also had a 1964 Mercury Meteor Montcalm. It was white with a 352 V8 and it had an electric rear window. Do any of you guys remember those???

My very first car was a dark blue ’69 Ford Custom. I bought it when I was 15 years old before I could even legally drive it. It was a POS but I still dream about that car. Apparently the cops liked them…

I’ve never owned one but one of my dream cars was an earlier model Mercury Marauder. I dunno why, I just really liked the big old ‘Mercs’. I thought that they looked cool anyways…

I just wish I could go back in time far enough to have bought Microsoft, Google and Amazon stock early.
I wish I can go back in time to know what lottery numbers to play.

It’s like I said on another thread, it takes one whole lifetime just to figure everything thing out…

It really does. The most important thing I latched on to was make your life as maintenance free as you can. Everything needs attention and you only have so much to go around.
If you rescue a damsel in distress, all you will get is a distressed damsel.
Not mine, but I had 1 just like it.

Best times of my life 22-27 yrs old, SINGLE. employed and a different female every 3 months or so.
Marry again, Hell NO ! ( Even JESUS was hung on a cross just once)

Autolite,
This was my 1st car:

Car was Dark Blue. I used to simonize that car,…. was an arm killer!
The good thing about it was it had a back seat the size of a couch.Marry again, Hell NO ! ( Even JESUS was hung on a cross just once)
Autolite,
This was my 1st car:Nice! What engine? (Mine had the big 290 six cylinder…)
In my mid twenties I had a 1977 Mustang II (identical to the one in the pic). Four barrel Holley on a 302 with dual exhausts. One of my least favourite cars. Cheap, poorly built car and very ugly. Basically a stretched V8 Pinto…

1977 Mustang II
Had one in the family – agree an absolute piece of s~~~. The era (beginning 1973 in force) of EPA regs that totally neutered power. Similar in brand, I did have a 1972 MachI. 351C, headers, Crager SSs, Cherry bombs. Still fast – but compared to a modern car it was a death trap. Fast in a straight line, but zero handling and it took FOREVER to stop. But it did look like one of my favorite Hot Wheels cars from my youth.

This was my first car. 1977 Chevy Malibu Classic. Mine was a brown color. Ugly old car, but man was it ever dependable with that old 350 V8 engine and 350 turbo transmission. Never a problem with it. It took me and my friends all over the place. Wish I could find another one.

My next car was a 1973 Oldsmobile Omega hatchback. Looked cool, but was the biggest piece of schit I’ve ever owned.
Was really glad to get rid of that and go back to something more dependable. The two door version of my first car. The best car I’ve ever owned as far as function goes. Never should’ve sold it.
