The Democratic National Committee adopted a new rule Friday aimed at preventing non-Democrats, such as independent U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, from seeking the party’s 2020 presidential nomination, reports said.

The rule change, adopted at a DNC meeting in Providence, R.I., requires all candidates for the party’s nomination to “run and serve” as Democrats

Some supporters of Sanders — who caucuses with the Democrats despite declining to declare a party affiliation — say the move was motivated by “spite” after Sanders gave Hillary Clinton a run for her money during the Democratic primaries in 2016.

Given how radicalized the DNC is becoming (they were already radical, but after their Nov 2016 defeat, they took their insanity to a whole new level), I would not be surprised if the DNC rules are changed so that a democrat candidate agrees to be immediately replaced on the ballot at the discretion of the officials of the DNC.

If the candidate goes off the DNC script one time, or votes the way the DNC disagrees with, and the candidate is replaced in for the next election. Though, this will created dog and pony show situations for the Democrats.

I may not agree with much of what Sanders stands for, but I can clearly see, just as the GOP did with Paul, that the establishment on both sides who want many of the same things, will do anything to push aside those they fear may actually enact some change.

If you are not onboard with never ending war for Israel then you are conspired against, that much is clear.

The DNC and the “left” have little to do with each other and are both so fractured that no candidate will last more than a few months without offending large groups of the party before the election.

I agree that they will come up with a way to drop and swap candidates as many times as necessary until election day.
