New York Mayor Bill DeBlasio Signs Executive Order To Commit NYC to Climate Deal

So just days after President Trump decides to pull the country out of that American job killing Paris deal, NYC decides it wants to step right back into it and re-commit New York City to paying the money on the behalf of the country anyway. But he can’t do that, and I’ll tell you why…Because Article 1, Section 10 of the United States Constitution says that no state, shall without the consent of Congress, enter into any treaty with another state or foreign nation.

California, and Washington have also made similar claims. Good luck trying to do it tho, most of this stuff is simply just blowing smoke.

If so, that is likely going to backfire. Only the rich and very poor will be left in the state. It is the middle class that keeps a society going.

When the welfare state collapses and the poor starve, the poor may eat the rich, or at least loot the rich.

This is going to be hilarious when local jurisdictions start trying to control their emissions and people get p~~~ed or just f~~~ing leave.

Oh sure, it’s fine to say “Trump should do this…” or “Trump should do that…” but when your town starts passing laws (revenue generating laws, to be sure) like “sort your garbage or face a $100/week fine” or “your car must get 30mpg or face a $1000/month fine” they’re going to be all “Muh Freedums!”

Well, both State and Federal funding should be withheld to NYC. As well as ANY City/Town/Villiage with a F~~~ing Mayor with delusions of grandeur.
It is a f~~~ing city, not a state nor a nation.

I don’t understand how these politicians don’t understand the framework and “guidelines” within they are allowed to work. If they know they can’t legally bind back into the Paris treaty because of Constitutional measures, why would they even bother? What do they have to gain by trying? All they really do is make themselves look like idiots.
