This is a brilliant idea, I hate wearing chest straps. Hope they integrate it into a watch as I also refuse to train with a phone on me especially on runs.

When I read the title, at first I thought it was about the personnel dept of a large corp.

You may be able to find a wrist worn HR monitor that meets your needs. I just searched Amazon for ” Sports & Outdoors : Outdoor Recreation :
“heart rate monitor” ” and got a page full of likely looking hits.

I’d stay away from the corporate kind. They will only cause a man heart problems.

I apologize in advance but what utility does a HR monitor serve during exercise or at rest? What benefit does one have knowing maximum/minimum/average heart rate? (excluding patients with heart issues I guess)

I see it along the lines of calories burned number on a treadmill.

    Just a number.

Am I missing the bigger picture?

that’s a sick device ..not sure if i could wear it around the clock..also..i wonder if in the future people who voluntarily wear devices like this will pay less for health insurance than those who refuse …like some more big brother intrusion

When you get to 40 y/o like me and start doing alot of cardio especially with HIIT training, HR monitoring is everything!
