Had a fiance, she died,
Damn……. , that’s goooood.
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.Good question – answer, you are a widow – never had children.
Beat me to it. That is absolutely the correct answer from any man considering wearing a ring.
Thanks, but I not looking for women.
It doesn’t matter if you’re looking or not. If you put on a ring they will find you.
Had a fiance, she died, and I have no desire to marry again because I’m “sooooooo emotionally crushed” and that’ll shut them the f~~~ up.
But if she was only your fiancée, then you never married her once, so why the “wedding” ring? That might seem a little strange if they think about it, and explaining it might get a little complicated.
If anyone asks about your ring, just say: “Cancer. Please, I really don’t want to talk about this.” That’s nice and generic and detail free, but more than enough to forestall any further questions.
With this ring…
$1.69 for a wedding band. Sounds about right.

I’ve worked in STEM at factories my entire career, albeit relatively small ones (under 100 employees). HR has been mixed, some men, some women. Where I’ve worked, HR were NOT serious hiring decisionmakers, more like clerks. They checked factual references (did you work at company x for y years), typed up the offer or rejection letters as directed by Management, scheduled interviews of candidates wanted to talk to, etc. They only had say in hiring if they found huge red flags (criminal record, bad references or lies, etc).
I haven’t seen any prejudice about marital status for professional or hourly staff. At least a quarter of the guys at my present employer, have been divorced at least once where I work, though many took a double dose of blue pills and rolled the dice twice (i.e. married again). Most HR ‘professionals’ were shunned due to their poor ability to identify good candidates, because they had no work experience in the occupations being hired for. At one workplace, the area managers demanded (and received) ALL resumes and applications because they determined HR’s ‘screening’ process wasn’t effective. This HR manager was a man.
I joked with one colleague recently ‘what’s the first thing a woman asks on a first date’, he immediately answered ‘What do you do for a living?’, I said ‘Yep, how large of a walking wallet are you, not what kind of a person are you, what are your hobbies, etc.’. He is on his second wife presently.
‘With this ring, I thee wed, but you just get bled’, said the Man to the Woman.
or
‘With this ring, if you wed, you will be bled’.

Anonymous11I often thought of buying a fake wedding band to use it to bang women. I like hitman’s widowed idea. Now, where can I find one made of Santo gold?
My network has a lot of business owners and executives in it. I prefer working as a mercenary consultant as corporate America has cornholed me one time too many. A few execs who wanted to hire me told me to bypass HR using them. That’s how f~~~ed up HR is these days.
Get to know the man on top and HR magically disappears.
The vanilla paper pushing HR types are not so bad. It’s those companies where HR makes all hiring decisions that should be avoided. They tend to be toxic.
Good luck JS!!!!
Well I ordered the cheap ring suggested above. If I like it I can always upgrade to a pawn store version.
I’ll let you know if it works.
