Didn’t get the project position I was going for in this thread: MGTOW Passed over for promotion This time I got some feedback from the Supervisor that was doing the hiring and guess what he said.

He told me I need to rehearse the 20 common interview questions and sell myself better. Sell myself better? Does my experience not speak for itself? I told him I studied policy and how to do my job correctly, and he said that it was already expected that the candidates could do the job. So what the f~~~ am I interviewing for Do I really need to sugar coat it for you? He gave me an example of a FEMALE he hired for another job and how she related her past experience as a elementary school teacher to the job she was going for. OK, but I’m not a female, it’s not in my nature to sell myself with some sugar coated bulls~~~. This is a male only position I was going for, I’m sorry they couldn’t hire a female this time. I’m sure they would have if they could. I don’t think employers know what the f~~~ they want anymore, and rely on feelings like females do. F~~~ing horses~~~. Oh well, probably a blessing I didn’t get it, might have been a lot more BS.

Yeah, the interview was probably over as soon as I walked in the room with my awesome beard. Maybe if I was smooth faced I would have had a chance

Yea just be confident in whatever you say, believe in yourself and your employer will to. I recently interviewed to be a Park Ranger for the Army corp of engineers, and with my background being a firefighter they loved everything i said. Still waiting back for the official “Your Hired”, but i’m confident i’ll get it.

Just be sure of yourself, sell yourself as the best thing walking even if it’s not true. Make them want to hire you and wish they had hired you if they passed you over. Either they hire you now, or you go somewhere else and do such a great job somewhere else, that if the other job decided to finally hire you, it will cost them more money to have you.

The best interview techniques is to relate to previous experience, many people try to tell the interviewer what they think he wants to hear.

Just use your experience , don’t be scared to tell where you made a decision turned out it was wrong and what you learnt.

Some companies its like a race or test, so who performs better on day wins, be honest and tell them what you have done.

It’s an excellent idea to remember such situations or ‘plan’ some for the interview. It demonstrates that you actually have problem solving skills and experience.

    Bone up on these books:

Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends & Influence People This one is key.

Robert Greene’s The 48 Laws of Power. You will need this to understand the manipulations the interviewers are running on you, and your future boss’s too. I do not recommend becoming manipulative yourself. Leave that to the narcissistic careerists.

Thanks for the feedback all. This has lit a fire under my ass and now I know what I need to do to be successful in future interviews.

I read an article that said I need to find my “super power” and sell it to set myself apart.

Batman doesn’t have superpowers though, how would Batman explain this in an interview?

The best way to get people to do what you want is appeal to their self-interest.

For example, women use their sex appeal to influence men to do things for them, wherein the man thinks he’ll get ‘benefits’ from helping.
