I texted a chick on backpage who claimed to be 22 years old asking her if She had a place. That’s all that was said. I then received a text about 15 min later addressing me by my first name stating that my number was recorded and law enforcement may be following up with me, arrests have been made, and cooperation may be noted. The final line said asked me if I was aware that many of the girls involved in prostitution are minors? I am Very worried; will be contacting an attorney tomorrow. Concerned if it was actual law enforcement, and also, how did they get my first name? Any advice appreciated.

    Contact an Attorney.

Every woman is a slut, if you catch her on the right day.

Not sure if it is legit or scam. I would probably just wait it out.

In Australia prostitution is legal, although there are plenty of dodgy massage shops that get shut down.

The wimmins still see this as a huge red flag even if they have played the c~~~ carousel. A bloke pays either way, and I for one am sick of their double standards.

F~~~ing an alpha or bad boy Chad does not put you in a holier than you, your s~~~ don’t stink when a guy pays to f~~~ an 8.

It’s a blackmail scam. You could consult with a lawyer with the exact content of your conversation to make sure you didn’t cross any incriminating lines. My guess is it’s some thug trying to get an easy payday out of you.

Unless the knock on your door from the police happens I wouldn’t worry about it.
I recently (Thursday) was called and let known that there was a warrant for my arrest from the IRS was out there. Hmmmm. It was a 216 phone number and a recording. So me being me I called them. I identified myself, stated my job, and told them they could pick me up at work the following day (on federal property). All of the sudden, oh no sir this is Blah Blah Blah service. Not the IRS. Needless to say scams are abound. Happens way too often. Go to the bars, pick up some fellow drunk person, wrap it up, Kick them out. Done! Stop leaving a paper and or electronic trail.

"I am Spartacus!", said Spartacus.................and everyone around him.

Scam, forget about it. If they call back tell them you have contacted the police and given them their information. If they would like to hold the police should be at their location shortly.

Odds are it is either someone trying to blackmail you or someone who is against prostitution.

Either way, best to forget about it.

Save all the text correspondence, preferably by downloading to an external drive or to your computer.

Also here are some tips for backpage.

It could also be an extortion scam. Backpage is full of them. Just as all dating sites are full of scammers.

They can get your information from the phone number.

Next. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING SENDING A DIRECT TEXT!

Save and print all the stuff. especially the proof that the girl said herself to be 22 year old.

Web content may get deleted and computer or phone may get taken away. Have all your stuff backup copy and hide it in the drawer at workplace, or give it to a friend for some time.

and consult attorney. Also, do not talk a single word to the police without consulting the attorney. Every one of your words will be abused and misinterpreted against you. Police has no interest in justice, they just want big statistics that they made X arrests and that stuff.

What is the legal status of call recording there? Or set the phone to record all calls, punishment for that may be far less than for being falsely jailed for being a pedo or rapist or other sexual bad stuff.
