We all know that the only thing worse than being a cis-gendered white male is being one and working in a profession that is dominated by them.

I suppose that (and the hopes of maybe eventually some day getting some pussy) is what is driving the “suspicious inclusivity” of the 2015 and 2016 Nebula awards.

Heinlein started the whole “smart man on top of a pile of hot women” trope and it looks like all these omega sci-fi writers are hoping some day to make it come true / touch a woman’s bare breast.

    Not gonna happen, fellas.

I read a few of Mercedes Lackey’s books over two decades ago. Her books frequently have homosexual central characters.

I can understand that when writing you introduce different elements to a story, including LGBT, when you are trying to reach a demographic. But I have always believed that people write best when they write what they know about. What does she know about what it it to be gay (I don’t), lesbian, sure. Many of her central characters are LGBT to the point it would make you think that her perception is that most people are either same-sex oriented or have some form of body dysmorphia.

At any rate. I haven’t read one her books since the early 90’s.

This particular anthology is mostly stories from 1 to 2 years ago and have an over abundance of sex scenes. To fans of the Sci Fi/Fantasy genre, the interest is usually about the action, story line, the incorporation of scientific theories in the sciency parts and the occasional titty.

I miss the older stories by Larry Niven, David Drake, and the older authors for the 50’s and 60’s.

"I asked you a question. I didn't ask you to repeat what the voices in you head are telling you" ~ Me. ........Yes I'm still angry.

I would love a Nebula Awards anthology from Vox Day. But given the current situation, it’s not gonna happen.

"We didn't start the fire. It was always burning. Since the world's been turning" "A world that vilifies men only breeds a generation of men that feel no empathy towards women" “In a woman’s mind , there is really no such thing as a ‘we’. In her eyes, earth allways revolves around her, not the other way around. So thinking that your needs , aspirations or desires are valid enough to be persued, or even that you are entitled achive such goals, is like asking your boss for a pay rise in your very first day at the job.”
