hey fellas, today was f~~~ing crazy.
i go to work and get a call..
my mom fell, hit her head and went unconscious.
ambulance puts tube down her throat so she can breathe..
at hospital doctors tell me and 10 family members,
she has a MASSIVE brain bleed.
she is in an induced coma and will die when the ventilator
that is breathing FOR her is removed.
    .
at almost 90 years old,Hitman’s mother will die.
a priest gave last rites, we all say our good-bye’s..
    they take out the tube…and…and…
SHE SPEAKS !!!” my throat hurts”…
    HOLY S~~~ .she’s ALIVE.
what the actual F~~~ did we just see???
now on morphine and being observed in critical care..
    .
i finally make it home so drained i slept almost 4 hours.
    and here i am.
    f~~~.
    comments are appreciated.

My wife had a brain bleed in 2006. The doctors told me she would never wake up, and if she did regain consciousness she would be brain dead.

I prayed continuosly for 13 hours straight. She not only awoke the next day but she recognised me and still had her mind. The doctors said it was a mircacle. I have a deep respect for the power of prayer. It sound dumb in our technological world but don’t be affraid to ask God for help if you need it.

If the worst happens and she doesn’t make it, I feel for your loss. However, (and I don’t expect you to believe this), I assert that although this life is temporary, when it ends our souls go to another life in a better place. The seperation of death is only temporary. You will be re-united.

I hope things turn out well for you and your Mum.

Hope all goes well for you.As a kid just minutes before my mum fell into a coma i could not see my mothers sick body laying there but seen her as very healthy.I remember saying to my father and yelling she is going to be ok.Apparently it was just as we left the hospital she went into a coma. What i beleave was i was seeing her spirit and got to say bye. That memory is still very clear to me i was 9.She died two weeks later. From cancer.

33 years ago, my Mom sat us down, cried and told us (both sons) she had lymph cancer.

She’s still with us…. and 3 years ago, her doctor said she can stop coming in for tests.

Back then, I flatly refused to believe it. Complete denial. It was as if I “knew” somehow. She would say “this may be our last Christmas together!” and I would say “no it’s not. Stop that.”. I was real dick about it too and felt nothing. She was all melodramatic and I wouldn’t play into it.

( I like to think I willed her to live. )

My Dad since died of cancer — like 2 months after his official diagnosis. SMH @ how f~~~ed up that works.

I’m very sorry you had to go through what you did. It’s good news, but the stress of “not knowing” is unbearable. Uncertainty can take a lot out of you. Happy to learn of the happy ending. Have yourself a nice stiff drink tonight.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

thanks , part of me wishes she would have passed..
part of me is glad she didn’t.
    she may die soon.
    she might not.
    not knowing is difficult.
but i did get to tell her i love her one more time..
i have no unfinished business with her ..
she freaked us all out when she spoke instead of dying..
    ……..
someone told me to pray for “what’s best ” for her..
and i am leaving the outcome to God.

    thanks old sage,
the doctors really should have said she had a chance.
but after a priest gives last rites and all the crying especially the women in the room,
we all expected her to pass..
then the old bird wakes up and talks…
    i’m in shock.
i will have a drink or 5 later..
i slept so hard after that my body clock is screwed up..

Hitman, I know that parental life and death roller coaster well, so my heart goes out to you. And after what I went through with my dad in his last few months, I now look at doctors more as healing arts practitioners rather than all-knowing scientists.

Keep us posted on your mom’s status and your well being. We’re here for you.

I wish you and your family all the best. That post shows wise thinking. There is life after death and life goes bye in the blink of an eye. When any of us think of our childhood it only seems like yesterday. Once again all the best to you and your family.

Wow that’s amazing. Would definitely say the good lord was watching over you and your family. At 90 years old. That is one strong woman there. She has a great will to live.
